Thank you for choosing our property. By booking, you agree to the following House Rules and House Manual.

House Rules

Check-In: Check-in begins at 4:00 PM. Early check-in and late check-out may be available for $40, subject to availability. Self-check-in instructions will be sent on your arrival day. Check-in is available until 11:00 PM.

Parking: One parking pass is provided inside the unit. Please display it clearly and park in the south row. Additional vehicles must use street parking. Guests are responsible for towing fees. Lost, damaged, or altered parking passes incur a $25 replacement fee.

Smoking: Smoking, vaping, and drug use are not allowed inside the unit or building. A $250 fee applies.

Pets: Pets are not permitted. A $150 fee may apply.

Parties: Parties and excessive noise are prohibited. Quiet Hours are 10:00 PM–8:00 AM. A $250 fee may apply.

Keys & Access: Please do not share your door code. Lost or damaged keys or key fobs incur a $150 replacement fee.

Damages: Guests are responsible for any missing, damaged, or stained items.

Cleaning: Please report any cleaning concerns shortly after check-in so we can assist.

Trash: Please dispose of trash in the parking lot dumpster or leave bagged trash inside the unit after checkout. Do not leave trash in common areas.

Packages: Personal mail and packages cannot be delivered to the property.

Security: A noise monitor is installed in the living area, and a Ring camera monitors the exterior entrance only. Neither records inside the unit. Please do not tamper with these devices.

Communication: Please remain reachable using the phone number on your reservation during your stay.

Forgotten Items: Please retrieve any belongings within 6 hours after checkout.

Liability: Guests are responsible for their party and any damages. Failure to follow these rules may result in cancellation of the reservation without a refund.

House Manual

Wi-Fi: Your network name and password are included in your check-in instructions.

TV: The Roku Smart TV is ready to use. Please sign out of your streaming accounts before checkout.

Kitchen: The oven and microwave operate like standard household appliances.

Thermostat: Located on the wall beside the bathroom entrance.

Washer & Dryer: Instructions are provided on the machines. If you need assistance, just send us a message.

Support: Our team is available through Airbnb messages from 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM. You may message us anytime, and we`ll respond as soon as possible.

Location was convenient to downtown and the State Fair which is why we stayed here. The place was very clean and comfortable. Quiet and cozy. Check in was easy. Communication was great. I will stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway.

With the exception of the bedding, our entire space was not clean upon arrival. There were used paper towels on the floor, hair remaining in the shower, and clumps of hair on the carpet and floor. I notified the host immediately and they were very apologetic and made it clear that they would address this with their cleaning provider. Other than that, it was a very nice space close to downtown and I had great help and communication with the host.

Location was good. Looks to be an up-and-coming area. A little bit of a hike, but walkable to downtown. Check-in was easy however there was no parking pass or fob as promised. We had to find street parking. We were told they could drop off a parking pass, but not until the day we were checking out. After the first night, our door code was disabled and we were locked out. Luckily there was quick communication with the host and they were able to remotely reset the code. Blinds on patio door didn’t open and blinds in bedroom let a lot of light through. Lacking towel bars in bathroom, and living room furniture was a little sparse, but ok for two people.

You get what you pay for. This place looks great in the listing and so the price looks very reasonable. But in person there are a few issues. The floors, both carpet and vinyl tile had sticky spots that made us uncomfortable to walk around barefoot. The location is very convenient to many Des Moines attractions but the unit itself is ground-floor, steps away from a busy street. So if you're not used to traffic noise and light then you might not sleep very soundly. The simple mini-blinds on bedroom window did not help much with outside light at night. Technically everything necessary was provided. Bare bones though. One sheet and duvet cover, 3 towels, and a hand towel. No extra blankets or pillows. Very basic kitchen utensils. Nothing "extra" like salt, pepper, or sugar. Bathroom vent fan did not work at all. Living room lamp also did not work. There is a nearby asphalt plant that you will smell outside unless the wind is in your favor. And we came back from our first day out to find our door code did not work. Not ideal after a long hot day! The host messaged back relatively quickly with a different code to try. No explanation or apology for the issue. On a positive note, its a good location at a price cheaper than I could find a hotel, just know when booking that this is not a very luxury experience. Don't miss checking out the 4th floor balcony for a great skyline view!
