Pros: Wonderful host who was very accommodating. Very nice and tastefully redone interior. VERY CLEAN-SMELLS NICE! TVs in every room. Beds are very comfortable! The couch is giant & very Comfy. Bedrooms are spacious. Showers have good water pressure. Easy to work Security alarm. Host supplied dishwasher tabs/toilet paper,. shampoo/conditioner & trash bags. We did not run out but there was only three of us.CONS: The area was not ideal for what I was expecting with such a nice home. I was told that I was staying in “Little Haiti” by a local and a neighbor said that this home was the first “gentrified” home on the street. There is a gate to get into the property, which was not shown in the pictures. It did provide some sense of security, however, you had to manually open and close the gate & there was no way to actually lock the gate. There is a trailer park right behind the property that had lots of activity throughout the day. There was a house a couple doors down that threw a very loud party past 1 AM which of course the host can’t do anything about but wanted to mention. In general, a quiet street. The backyard has a large mound that appears to have been a swimming pool that has been filled in. There was no outdoor seating on the front or back porches. ** I never personally felt unsafe at the home**Suggestions: Kitchen needs strainer, cookie sheets, casserole dishes. Supply hair dryer in both bathrooms. Provide more hangers in bedrooms. Thank you!
