Hot Tub at Rocky Mountain Getaway
Escape the fast pace of life to this peaceful getaway—your Rocky Mountain retreat. Just a gorgeous 45-minute drive from Colorado Springs. Unwind in this cozy three-acre Rocky Mountain retreat with Pikes Peak views. Tucked in a rural neighborhood on a scenic dirt road, a separate entrance leads to your spacious three-bedroom apartment. Reboot your love of nature while taking in all Pike National Forest has to offer. While you're at it enjoy the hot tub, walking trail & picnic grove! Three comfortable and beautifully appointed bedrooms with queen-sized beds, a fully-equipped kitchen, a full bathroom with shampoo, conditioner & body wash, living room, workspace with desk & monitor and fast Wi-Fi (via Starlink), washer and dryer (with complimentary laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and stain remover), and patio with 6-person hot tub and towels. The "Love Room" — Your romantic retreat all set for tea for two, vanity, walk-in closet with extra blankets, towels and 2 luxurious plush robes. The “Joy Room" – playfully decorated with fun colors that bring an air of joy to this comfy space. Your room features a relaxing chaise longue, and a closet with extra blankets, towels and 2 luxurious plush robes. The "Peace Room" — a tranquil sanctuary away from the concerns of life. Your serene bedroom features a comfy bed and a reading corner. Your armoire contains extra blankets and 2 luxurious plush robes. Amenities include: • Six-person hot tub with towels • Washer & dryer with complimentary laundry detergent • Well-equipped kitchen with spices, oil, and butter • Desk & work area with monitor (HDMI connection) • Starlink Wi-Fi (30 Mbps) • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels • Board games, cards & puzzles • Extra blankets • Fans in each bedroom • Coffee bar with coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners • Picnic grove and hiking (ask for property boundaries) Our rural location may feel secluded, yet it's only a ten-minute drive to nearby trailheads, stores and restaurants. Pikes Peak highway is just 25 minutes away and Colorado Springs Airport is a 50 minute drive. World-class skiing at Breckenridge is about an hour and 30 minutes away. Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort is an easy hour and 15 minute drive. We work from home right upstairs. While we strive to be quiet, you may sometimes hear normal signs of life above you. Hosting you is our honor and privilege! We love to meet our guests, yet are respectful of your privacy. We're always available by phone or text to address any needs that may arise—we want you to be delighted with your stay. Our location is remote, so cell service can be weak or non-existent. The Internet service is reliable here, so your phone may work if you can make calls via WiFi. There is also a lot of wildlife here, like deer, bear, and mountain lions. Interacting with wild animals should be avoided. Some folks from hotter climes wonder if there's air-conditioning in the house—no, it's never needed! Our location, just shy of 9,000 feet, simply doesn't have any hot days. The average daytime high temperature in July is around 76ºF. But, just in case, we have fans in the bedrooms and screens on all the windows to let in the cool Rocky Mountain breezes. The funny thing about this altitude is that the sun is very intense—strong enough to even warming you on sunny winter days! We love the climate here and think you will too. Speaking of altitude, we encourage you to study up a bit on the effects of altitude on travelers from sea level before your arrival. Important rules of thumb are to drink way more water than you think you should and save even higher altitude adventures for the tail end of your trip (to give more time for acclimation). Where's the TV? The “Getaway” part of the Rocky Mountain Getaway includes time away from screens. So, we don't supply a TV. Folks come here to enjoy the mountains and all that the Pikes Peak region has to offer—hiking, climbing, skiing, biking, exploring, birding, photographing wildlife and the brilliant pulsating stars in the nighttime sky—and get away from the usual distractions. We have games for you inside the chest in the living room. Our hope is that you will try to unplug a little and keep your mobile screen in your pocket a bit more while you’re here.
