Hongdae and Yeonnam-dong are one of my favorite areas in Seoul — most popular places where you can feel young vibe, energetic, creative, and full of life, yet also calm and cozy in the right corners.

This neighborhood blends trendy cafés, art studios, independent shops, nightlife, and great food all within walking distance. For travelers who want to experience Seoul’s culture, it’s truly the perfect starting point.

One thing I love most is how everything is accessible without a car or complicated transportation. Hongdae Station, the airport train, and airport buses are all nearby, making it incredibly convenient for international guests.

At the same time, Yeonnam-dong offers a relaxed, warm atmosphere — small streets filled with local cafés and bakeries, places to sit and talk, and beautiful walking paths like the Gyeongui Line Forest Park.

I chose this area because it gives guests both excitement and comfort:
you can explore all day, then return to a quiet, stylish space to rest with the people you care about.
For groups and families, this balance makes the experience truly special.
