The Space:

A wonderful blend of quiet and convenient, this creekside home just north of Rockaway Beach will place you five blocks from soft sand, the Pacific Ocean, and the mouth of the Nehalem River.



This two-level home, located in the community of Nedonna Beach, was designed to encourage relaxation. Enter into a comfortable, carpeted family room with a game table and a flatscreen TV (one of five in the house), and continue down the hallway to the open great room. There's an even larger flatscreen TV mounted above the gas fireplace in the living room, a farm-style dining room table, and a fully appointed kitchen with every essential appliance (including a dishwasher) and a peninsula bar counter for four. Glass doors lead outside to a back deck overlooking the neighboring creek and green space, where you can barbecue and dine in the fragrant coastal air.



At night, there's a washer/dryer to take care of the day's swimsuits, a firepit out front where you can gather for s'mores, a dedicated playroom with children's toys upstairs, and Wii, Nintendo, and Netflix for your at-home entertainment. One of the bedrooms - the main suite with a large private bathroom - is on the first floor; the other three bedrooms are located upstairs.

This home sits along a creek and a swath of tranquil green space in the community of Nedonna Beach. You'll be a five-block walk from the ocean beach itself, which also happens to be the spot where the Nehalem River meets the Pacific Ocean. Downtown Rockaway Beach - a hub of ice cream stores, sweet shops, and casual eateries - is only three miles south as well.

Five stars all the way, just be aware some of the gannets are loose or broken but other than that the house was a beautiful and comfortable stay.

We had a good vacation in this house. There was enough room for us. We liked the kid play room and lots of table room. The location was good to be able to walk to the beach and explore the little trails. The bed I slept on was better than most hotels or rentals I've stayed in. The coloring and theming was very nice. We appreciated the few kid plates available. The Wi-Fi basically didn't work. The dishwasher rack couldn't pull out easily. The house could use a little love with the chipped paint, overflowing gutters, broken chair leg, broken trash can pedal, bedroom door that couldn't close, etc. but it didn't take away too much from our vacation. If you get this house for a deal, it would be great.

WiFi was not fast if factor was barely functional . Had to go to Fred Meyer and spend 40 on cables to hard wire the TV to the cable router. I let the host know. They didn’t seem to care too much. Other than that the place was ok.

We enjoyed the cleanliness when we arrived and location to the beach. The beds were comfortable too. But there were some issues that we let vacasa know about. Mainly some hardware needing tightened, poor drainage in the bathrooms, spotty internet (which is fine if you’re disconnecting, not good if you are needing to work or communicate with coworkers) and there wasn’t enough silverware for the number of people the home sleeps. Also- bring your own coffee filters! Nice home in a safe neighborhood though.

great home for families with kids. We had our kids and grandkids, and they loved the playroom and all the toys and games. The adults appreciated the nice kitchen and supplies and especially the cleanliness. would definitely stay here again.

Close to beach!

We had a great stay. 3 families, plenty of space for kids + adults. Nice ~7 min walk to beach, or you can load up your car with gear and there is plenty of parking at beach entrance.

The property was lovely and plenty of space for our family. We enjoyed the fire pit. The walk to the beach was nice. My grandkids loved the beach, driftwood, tide pools at jetty. The seals in the surf were fun to watch. My grown boys really enjoyed crabbing at jetty. The setting was great. I was traveling with my adult sons and their families including 5 grandchildren and my 95 year old mother. The bedroom with the bathroom was perfect for her. Unfortunately to keep her warm downstairs the upstairs got very warm. The WiFi logged on but when we tried to use TV’s or our own devices they said no internet. We called Casago and they were helping and even came out to property but we still couldn’t use TV’s for 3 days of our stay, then our last full day we could use them. The rest of our family in area houses had no problem with their service. We were told internet was fine and all was good with Spectrum but it wasn’t working. We spent most of our time outside but my mother needed to stay in a lot of the time and she sure would have liked to watch a program or two. The kitchen was nice but dishwasher had no wheels on lower rack so it was hard to move. The cupboard doors were a little loose. A cookie sheet or cake pan would have been nice, I even went to town to get one for place but no luck except for foil ones. We did have a wonderful stay, the home was easy for my mom to get around with her walker. Thank you for sharing this property with us. A book with instructions would help

Great Stay at the Beach

We had a wonderful two night stay at Nedonna Beach. The house was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped with the essentials. My 4 kids enjoyed having the entire upper floor to themselves; it was big enough that next time we might have to bring along some friends. The house is situated in a private neighborhood, just a few minutes to walk to beach access. And the beach itself is really lovely - lots of open sand, not a lot of other people, and piles of driftwood and the jetty to explore.

Very cool house! It was much closer to the beach than I remember noticing in the listing result. Right across the street actually! The beds and furniture were comfortable. THE GAME ROOMS!!! The game rooms were bad@@s! Arcades upstairs and more physical games downstairs. We spent a good amount of time and fun on the air hockey table. The foosball table is pro level. But it was so dirty that the ball would often get stuck on the sides and the handles were sticky too. We thoroughly scrubed the handles and wiped down the table, and after that was done, the table performed phenomenally! We spent most the weekend playing games!

Family Fun

Our extended family (4generations) fit comfortably and really enjoyed the short walk to a beautiful, private beach. The littles enjoyed the playroom and amenities were as described. We had to go out and buy basics (toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap) and we’ve never had to do that with previous rentals for our large group. There’s plenty of bedding, pillows and towels. The main areas were clean but there’s some deeper cleaning (vents, baseboards, decks) that should be done. We also received a late night call from Vacasa which was strange. Overall a good experience but not impressed with Vacasa.

Location was great!

Unfortunately the house is only superficially cleaned. The mattress pads had urine spots. Ugh! The air exchange vents were thick with dust. Alert Water filter needed to be changed. The Wii rejected the discs...would not work. Especially annoying since it was raining a lot and kids wanted to play on the Wii. No response from the owners until the last evening. We had booked the house for 6 nights. Out of TP by Friday.. Need to have extra in the laundry room. All the blinds had a thick layer of dirt, with cobwebs on the high walls. Vacuum cleaner did not work. The only broom had about a 14" handle. Hmmm. too short for those over 4 feet tall. The back deck looked like a swimming pool after each rain. Not properly vented. Great location on a nice quiet street. The beach was only about 5 blocks away.

Good Location, lacked amenities

Pros Location Clean house Lots of pillows and towels Cons Coffee maker craft does not match the coffee maker - can’t make coffee. Not enough toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher soap, and laundry detergent for the week we stayed there. Master bedroom door broke. Front door latch broke is broken. Upper bathroom shower drains very slowly. Contacted them but they did nothing about it. Microwave oven has no plate and gets extremely hot to the touch and does not heat food. Intake wall air filter are filthy. Folded up towels and sheets that were put away wet and still wet when we went to get them. Three propane tanks but none had propane. Master bathroom door sticks on the floor when trying to open Garage was a mess. Very limited kitchen supplies made it hard to cook dinners.

We loved that this house had a fire pit outside (bring your own wood) and that is was large enough for 3 families to spread out (6 adults, 5 kids). Location was convenient with the beach a short walk down the street. You are only 2 miles north of town if you forgot something or want to eat out. All beds, except the one in the Starfish room, were comfortable. The decor and furniture was all in nice shape. The kitchen was big enough for two to cook in and there was seating for 8 at the table, 4 at the counter. The negatives were there wasn't quite enough resources in the kitchen to cook your meals with (no pot holders, spatulas, or wooden spoons) and the frying pans were both old and scratched up. The griddle was warped and did not sit on the stove top flat. Also lacking was no foil or saran wrap for leftovers. We went to Dollar General down the road to buy potholders and saran wrap (and left them for the next renters). Just be prepared with some of your own stuff if renting this house. The upstairs little playroom for the littles was a hit! However, the Wii downstairs did not work, disappointing the older grandkids. Overall, it was a pleasant stay in a quiet neighborhood.

Despite being in the title of the listing the internet is not fast. It barely works. Other reviews say the same thing. They had a modem from 2012 that they tried to replace while we were there but failed to do so. The dishwasher was broken, and when I brought it up they acknowledged they knew of the issue but made no effort to fix it. We had to hand wash our dishes the entire week. They had the basic necessities you'd expect renting a house for a week, but certain things were in desperate need of a cleaning, such as the air vent above the stairs, or the back patio needing a scrubbing. Overall, it could be a lot better but it did the job I guess? Just not well. I'm just super disappointed about getting duped about the internet and dishwasher. It's not an amenity when you have it but it doesn't work. The one benefit was the check in and check out process was easy enough.
