Lovely location

This house has more than enough room for our family to stay. The views from the front porch were lovely and the view from the back deck was totally divine! Thank you for a good house for our vacation.

Comfortable and Serene

The house was comfortable and provided plenty of space for my family to relax. My kids especially loved the pool table in the basement! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals - plenty of dishes, assorted pots and pans, utensils, etc. The location was also perfect for exploring the many different parks and natural areas. We enjoyed our stay!

Already booked for next year!

Very nicely renovated farmhouse with a covered deck overlooking acres of forest-lined pasture. You can sit out and watch the wildlife come out at dawn and dusk. Nice private drive. Plenty of bunks for everyone. We just finished our annual visit. Sorry to leave, but we’ve already booked again for next year!

Peaceful and easy

This stay included everything we needed for a quiet a rejuvenating long weekend - easy access to hiking, small town with good pizza, a chocolate factory and ice cream shop within 5 minutes drive and yet somehow very secluded and quiet. We enjoyed sitting on the covered deck every evening and watching the deer and turkeys go by.

Family vacation 2024

Everything was clean. The house was in a great location for our needs and we really appreciated having enough space for all 8 members of our party. The only issue that we had was that with as hot as it was during our stay the air conditioning was inconsistent throughout the house. The bedroom with the pull out sofa was stuffy while the main bedroom was a little better but if we turned the air down any more the basement bedroom was too cold to stand. We really did enjoy this home and all of the character that it offered.

The house was great and in a wonderful area. Everything was neat and clean, I can not say enough about how much we appreciated the house and the way it had the things we needed. Any questions I had were addressed in a timely manner.

Glamping

Eight of our friends were camping close by. We wanted to spend time with them but have recently sold our camper. This house was 10 miles away and filled the bill. We enjoyed the local offerings of biking, hiking, eating chocolates and the Garden of the Gods.

Watch the sunrise over the expansive field.

Private, very clean modern farmhouse. Deck overlooks a large field where you can watch wildlife. Love this place.

No Planes, Trains Or Automobiles

If you're looking for a beautiful place to go & get away at and relax for a bit at a great price, this is the place. We roasted hotdogs nad marshmallows both nights that we were there and just relaxand had a great time with family. This was the 2nd time around at the house and probably not our last :‐)

This property is a peaceful retreat. It’s a great place to enjoy nature.
Bring your bike and enjoy the Tunnel Hill Bike Trail. Or bring your kayak and enjoy many areas in the Shawnee National Forest. Lake Glendale and Dixon Springs pool are great ways to cool off in the summer.
