Not beach front, was 50 behind beach front. Loacation was handy to local shop. Clean small apartment. Tidy.Communication how ever with the host was none. We had messaged thr day before to let her know on eta, no response. Messaged the morning of and no response, phoned both numbers no response. On our arrival time the host was waiting.unable to open all windows as chutters blocked them. Overall avage

Host wasn’t there on arrival and didn’t answer phone calls- arrived 10 minutes later. Kitchen appliances were dirty, drying rack couldn’t be used it was so dirty, old milk and coffee left in microwave, fridge and shelves hadn’t been cleaned. Bedding and towels were stained and carpets hadn’t been vacuumed in the corners. Apartment looked like it hadn’t been cleaned properly. Very over priced and disappointing!

On arrival at this apartment we were very disappointed in the cleanliness, what looked like rodent droppings on the kitchen bench, dustballs on the carpet, dust and what looked like mould on the fans, a very uncomfortable,soft old lumpy mattress with musty old bedding, on top of that, the washing machine was not working which meant we had to find a laundromat, there was also a leaking water drain at the front which gave us concerns about the water. The only positive thing I can say about it was that it was very close to the beach. I would not recommend it all, in my opinion it needs a total refurbishment.

Great location, everything you need

The apartment was nice and cool with air conditioning. Well stocked with all appliances and utensils etc. Fantastic location with beach just over the road and a cafe around the corner. Plenty of parking and friendly check in.

Can't recommend Shoreline Apartments

The owner did not have the property ready for us at check-in which delayed the start of our holiday. There is no key return box, the owner required us to ring her 30m before we wanted to leave. On our last morning there was no mobile reception across Woodgate which meant a long wait as we were ready to go at 8.15 am. There were several poorly maintained items including a leaking fridge and a broken kitchen bin as well as a dangerous shelf beside the bathroom sink. On our second day the toilet cistern broke and the owner's solution was that for the rest of our stay we had to fill the cistern with a bucket of water to flush. The owner required me to write a statement about what had happened to the toilet, and sign a statutory declaration. No repair was forthcoming, nor ever an apology for the inconvenience.

Great little place to stay by the sea

This property is a great little place to stay by the sea. The owner was extremely friendly and polite and went over and beyond to make us feel welcome.

Filthy. Blood stains on bed. Mould, dust and bugs.

The unit is not 27km from Hervey Bay and is not just "across from beach". We booked for 2 nights and abandoned our stay first night due to the extremely disgusting condition of the unit. Have many photos of the filth and a metal spring protruding from the mattress. Terrible furnishings and pokey, horrible floor layout. I contacted the owner to request a refund and she doesn't even have the decency to discuss the matter. She meets you on sight and talks so you can't fully look at the unit and see what you are in for. The bed was so horrid I will be having nightmares for ages. Dried blood spots under one pillow. Woollen blankets with satin edges (so old) that I doubt have ever been washed; the dust in them was unbelievable. It made me sick, literally. The lounge was dusty, badly stained and so small you cant sit comfortably to relax and there was food spots on table and tomato sauce on top of one white chair.No attention to detail at all. The electric jug had been burnt out and not replaced. The fridge was full of water in the bottom. There was no shampoo or conditioner and a cake of soap the size of a 10c piece (for 2 people for 2 days). The mould on one lot of bathroom shelves was woeful and the dust and hairs on the others were so gross. The owner clearly has no respect for the hygiene issues created by COVID, let alone just being a decent person. Woodgate itself is not worth the 97km (each way) trip from Hervey Bay. The owner said she is selling the unit so obviously doesn't see a need to look after it. The most unfortunate part is that I never leave reviews and and that I have to give at least a one star rating for everything, because that is way too generous for this pathetic unit and the horrid little old owner. We only get very rare and short trips away once a year and she has spoiled this one for us and I hope she resurrects the problems before someone else is the next victim.

Great Accommodation

Great stay even in not so great weather. Close to beach, pub and bowls club. We were lucky to be able to stay on when the roads were closed due to flooding. Thank you!
