Good place for the price, very close to downtown Oak Park, which is hard to find. No issues getting in, bed was comfortable, parking is the typical trickiness of Oak Park, registering with the city but easy to do and well explained by the host. Communication from the host was great.The place definitely needs some TLC and basic maintenance. Chipping paint is coming off the tiles in the bathroom, a cat has gone at the edges of the couch, the wallpaper in the photo is falling down, etc. But nothing that really interferes with a comfortable night's sleep. More investment could really make this a gem - but then it would probably need to cost more, given other properties in the area.

We had a good stay overall. The unit was clean, the building felt safe and secure, and the neighborhood was nice and conveniently located near many local restaurants. The price was affordable, and the free parking was a nice value. The host was communicative, and check-in was fairly easy, with separate codes for the building and for unit. There were a few downsides. The bed was very uncomfortable and seemed to sink flat, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The parking was free (up to 3 days), but the arrangement was more inconvenient than we expected. The allowed parking was not on the same street as the building. It was on the street behind the building; To get from the building to the car, we had to walk to the corner, turn left, walk down the block, and then turn left again onto the street where the parking was located. On top of that, the free parking required some management through the parking app. We had to register the vehicle and then manage separate parking periods rather than having one continuous three-night pass. For example, the resident visitor pass covered 8 AM–8 PM, while the overnight parking was registered separately for the 2:30 AM–6 AM period. You could only reserve one time period at a time, so keeping the vehicle covered required going back into the app and setting up additional sessions. Not always easy to wake up at 6AM just to switch your parking session over to the next pass. The system did work, and no problems resulted for our vehicle
