Welcome to Camp Dandelion, a cozy mid-century modern cabin located just 0.2 miles from Cowan Gap State Park. This peaceful retreat is ideal for couples or solo travelers looking for a comfortable place to relax while enjoying easy access to the outdoors.

Inside, the cabin features a warm and inviting living space centered around a wood-burning fireplace, comfortable seating, and natural light throughout. The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing simple meals, and the sleeping space is designed for rest after a day of hiking or exploring the park.

Step outside and enjoy nearby access to hiking trails, kayaking, fishing, swimming, and scenic sightseeing at Cowan Gap State Park. Hikers especially appreciate the nearby routes leading to Big Mountain Overlook, a favorite spot for panoramic views and quiet moments along the trail.

The cabin was clean and exactly as expected. The decor and the rustic feel of this cabin made it feel like home. Great location. The host was very good with communicating and answering any questions that we may have had. Would def return to this cabin in the future.

We had a great time at the cabin, located minutes away from Cowans Gap State Park. Fully furnished and comfortable in a peaceful setting. Not too far 10-20 minutes from town for anything you might need. Great views from the property as well as easy access to hiking trails and a lake. Would recommend this property for families and outdoor enthusiasts!

I love creating a welcoming, comfortable space where guests can unplug, explore nearby trails, and truly relax. Camp Dandelion is a place made for slowing down and enjoying the outdoors.

Nestled in the woods and just minutes from Cowans Gap State Park and scenic hiking trails, it’s a place where mornings are quiet, evenings are calm, and nature is always close. What we enjoy most is how easy it is to unplug—whether it’s hiking nearby trails, enjoying the lake, or simply sitting on the deck surrounded by trees. It’s restful, grounding, and truly special.
