Our family weekend at Pelican Retreat was fantastic. The lake views were beautiful. The deck facing the lake was large and well suited for a family gathering. The cleanliness of the house, grounds and boat dock were all as good as could be.

The view is stunning! The house was in pristine condition with everything clean and arranged in a way we still had room for all of our stuff. We ate dinner on the porch most nights. The dock was fun to fish off of. We found extra fishing supplies at Kel’s Kove nearby and enjoyed the Mexican restaurant and antique stores in Homer. Host was quick and helpful with any questions that came up!

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and even more spacious than the photos show. Every detail was thoughtfully considered — from the fully stocked kitchen to the cozy blankets for relaxing evenings by the water. The lake views were breathtaking, especially at sunrise with coffee on the deck and at sunset by the fire pit. We loved having direct access to the water for swimming and kayaking, and the dock made everything so convenient. It was the ideal mix of peaceful relaxation and outdoor fun.The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the entire home felt welcoming and well cared for. Communication with the host was excellent — quick responses, clear instructions, and helpful local recommendations. This was easily one of the best vacation rentals we’ve ever stayed in. We’re already talking about coming back next year!Highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful lake escape.

Great location and view; easy to find; had all the amenities we needed for a short weekend stay while there for a lake tournament. Very quiet neighborhood. Short drive to boat ramp, and nice boat house for our boat for quick launch on tournament morning. The only downfall was the thermostat was owner controlled. There was a drastic drop in temps during our stay for which my daughter and I stayed inside most of the time while husband fished. Unfortunately, we could not set thermostat any warmer than 68 on heat. Also, I would suggest flipping the king size bed mattress in master bedroom or replace it. It has a huge hump in the center preventing comfortable sleep cuddling.

Thank you so much for your kind review! We are glad you enjoyed the location and amenities of our home. We appreciate your feedback about the thermostat and mattress and are sorry to hear that you may have been uncomfortable. While the thermostat does have a preset range in place, we understand how that would be frustrating with the unexpected drop in temperature. We will be altering those settings and will be addressing the mattress as well. Thank you again for your helpful feed back and we hope to have the opportunity to host you and your family again in the future!
