Welcome to your next home away from home! Our guest house is newly renovated and it has the charm of a farmhouse but with some modern touches! Our guest house is attached to the main house with its private entrance on the left side of the home. We are located in the beautiful mountains of NW Georgia just a 6 minute drive to Mentone, AL. Staying with us you will experience staying on a small homestead equipped with chickens (and a rooster) and a small garden on the front and back of the property.
The space is a nicely curated farmhouse vibe blended with some mid century flare. The guest house is attached to our main home therefore the entrance is on a side door on the left side of the home. Where the guest house is attached to our main house is our large pantry/storage area that we go into sparingly. Upon arrival there is a keypad lock for your convenience and accessibility. As you enter you are greeted by a full kitchen equipped with almost anything you might need. It has plenty of spices, oil, pots and pans and utensils to cook with. We can also provide cast iron pans upon request. We can also provide cast iron pans upon request. We believe in healthy living and that carries over to our rental space. We aim to stock your space with almost all organic ingredients, so rest assure we will always have organic coffee grounds (either Organic Mayorga Dark Roast Coffee or Organic Charleston Coffee Roasters) and organic cane sugar, alongside organic spices at your disposal. Please, if there is anything that will make your stay more comfortable don’t hesitate to ask us! We would love to provide any extras to the kitchen that you may need.
Once you are past the kitchen there is a small hallway where you will have your own thermostat to control the heating and cooling. There is a door on this hallway and this door is the one attached to the main house.
The bedroom can sleep 4 people comfortably. There is a Casper mattress queen bed and a trundle twin bed that can be converted to a king. We love natural fibers at the Cloudland Homestead, our linens and towels are made from 100% cotton and our comforter is made of 100% down to make for a comfortable and breathable nights rest! In the bedroom there is armoire with some drawers and space to hang clothing.
Once entering the bedroom, to your right is the bathroom. It is beautifully designed to provide a cozy farmhouse vibe with a tinge of modern. It has a large tub with a rain shower head and hand held shower head perfect to bathe kiddos. We have anti slip grips in the shower. The window in the bathroom is south facing and allows a lot of sunlight throughout the day.
