Amazing place close to Berlin history

Fantastic stay in this beautiful apartment. Very good communication with the owner. Nice interior, convenient and everything one could need is present. The location is terrific, all of what makes Berlin the city it is in walking distance.

Berlin half marathon vacation

The apartment is in a great location, it’s clean and quiet and the kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Great place for a family

My family of four very much enjoyed staying in this apartment. It was impeccably clean and very spacious. The location is great, very close to a grocery store, parks (my kids enjoyed the playground with a zipline a couple blocks away), two U Bahn stops, and many other amenities. I highly reccommend!

Beautiful apartment in a quiet and connected neighborhood

Beautiful historic apartment with comfortable beds and furniture, modern appliances, heated floors - everything you could ask for! Lots of places to walk to, and well connected to Berlin by metro and bus.

Berlin 2025

We stayed in Berlin to visit our son who has moved there for six months. This Apt was absolutely beautiful!! It had everything we needed. Marian stocked the apt with some welcome amenities that added a very nice touch and was greatly appreciated!! Knowing the history of the building and seeing the pictures were incredible. The location right down the street from Checkpoint Charlie was only a short walk to my son's place. Access to the underground train was just a few minutes walk. Super convenient! We loved this apt and had a wonderful time in Berlin!

Highly recommend this spot. Super clean, bright, well-maintained spot close to basically everything. Very spacious; communication w/ host also first rate. (One note for those who plan on using the washing machine and dryer: be sure to obtain plenty of 2 Euro coins, as these will be necessary to operate them!)

As reflected in the listing photos and description, this was a lovely apartment in a beautiful, historic building. The apartment is well situated within easy walking distance of groceries, dining, sights (Jewish Museum, Checkpoint Charlie, Topography Terror), and U-Bahn station, so the whole of Berlin is readily accessible. Marian was a gracious and welcoming host. We had a great stay!Be aware that there is a 7.5% city tax, to be paid in cash, that does not appear on the VRBO listing, and is in addition to the VRBO price, even though the VRBO price says "all fees included." Perhaps travelers from Germany, other parts of Europe, or other parts of the world are familiar with this sort of tax, but it came as a surprise to this American traveler when it was disclosed just three days prior to arrival, at which point it felt like there was nothing to be done about it.

Great Apartment

Lovely apartment, well appointed, very clean and spacious. Excellent location and very effective air conditioning (which given temperature in August was very necessary). Would highly recommend. Only downside was difficulty getting into apartment and key lock didn’t work with code provided and struggled to contact owner which left us stranded for a while. Once new code provided, all fine.

A wonderful, quiet, well appointed apartment

The security of the property was terrific. The apartment was spacious, well appointment with high quality appliances, bedding, etc. A couple of minor things: it is a 3 flight walk up, which was not a problem for us but those who have challenges should be aware ii) we didn’t realize we didn’t control the heat until we contacted the manager. It was early spring and one night was chilly. Once we contacted the manager about the heat, it was immediately turned up- so very responsive.

Very nice spacious apartment. Good location. We were two couples traveling. We had plenty of space, and enjoyed having two bathrooms. It’s the kind of place you will enjoy, even if you stay for a longer time.One reason we chose the apartment was that it offered parking. So we were disappointed that we were not able to get any parking with 3 days’ notice. We managed to park on the street, though. Be sure to check with the host right away if you need parking. We spend too much time going through the check-in procedures (reading stuff and filled out two forms with almost same info). It is mandatory and you won’t get any key code unless this is done.Be aware that the Berlin city tax for your stay is payed cash and via an envelope to the host. We did not agree to the way it was calculated, but did not bother to discuss this in length with the host.Four out of fire stars.

Very cool apartment in a very cool area

Loved our stay in this very spacious and comfortable apartment in the heart of the Kreuzberg area of Berlin. Everything was clean and modern, beautiful bathrooms with plenty of hot water, lovely kitchen area with modern appliances, very nice television with Netflix and Prime available. Lidl store was around the corner for groceries. There were some stairs to climb so be prepared but we did not find this to be a problem. The many directions to be followed look daunting but not so bad as you are executing them. Property is close to public transportation with underground train and bus lines up the street which we used extensively. We were very happy with the property and would consider booking again should we return to Berlin.

Great stay in a beautiful flat

This properties fantastic and the owners are super-responsive. All of the appliances are new and clean, and the location is great. Plenty of room for 4+ people. A few notes: 1-it is 2.5 floors up and there is no elevator. Keep that in mind. 2-the layout is awkward. There’s one BR separated by the living are, then another BR then 2 adjacent bathrooms. Not terrible, just unusual. 3-check-in seems more complicated that I have experienced before. This may be Germany or Berlin. Not tragic, just klunky. Despite these small things, it’s a 4.5-5 stars. 9.4 stars makes sense to me…great job and kudos to owners.

Super Apartment in Walking Distance of Berlin Sights

Thank you for letting us stay in your lovely apartment. It is a wonderful apartment in a really interesting building with massive high ceilings. The apartment is well laid out with an interesting balcony. There were 4 of us and there was loads of space. We had everything we needed and felt very welcome. Berlin summer weather was very hot but the apartment was cool with the windows open & the fans. It was very quiet and relaxed at all times. The 50 steps downstairs to the front door were never a problem and just part of the character. The luggage room was excellent - thank you. The entrance instructions are very detailed and worked perfectly. The apartment is close to Checkpoint Charlie but far enough away to avoid the mass of tourists. We walked to almost all sights in Berlin. However, the underground train was close when we needed it. Overall, it is a wonderful apartment and we really enjoyed our stay. Vielen Dank.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in prima Lage

Die Wohnung ist prima eingerichtet und war sehr sauber. Die Lage ist ebenfalls bestens. Einziger Wermutstropfen ist das der Parkplatz als auch Wäsche waschen extra kostet.

Beautiful Flat

This is a gorgeous flat that is in an excellent location. It was a tad tough to understand check-in procedures due to the COVID restrictions and regulations in Germany, but otherwise, it was a great experience. The apartment, itself, was clean and large! We had a nice stay in Germany.
