Country house with terrace & garden for relaxation or concentrated work

Sankt Unterholz is a retreat for families, friends, and teams in Kraatz, a small village in the Uckermärkische Seen Nature Park; somewhere in the middle of nowhere between Prenzlau and Fürstenwerder.
Originally used as a barn, we carefully and sustainably renovated the building in 2019–2020 into a retro-modern vacation and work retreat, which now accommodates up to 9 people.
Whether it’s just to unwind, to show kids why potatoes sometimes have dirt on them, or to work on projects together, do yoga, share experiences, argue, and make up again.
Or simply to do nothing at all. Sitting in a lounge chair on the patio, sipping coffee while watching the kids in the sandbox. For example.
Or smoking. Smoking only outside!
Or cooking.
Our kitchen has a large table that seats 12 people and invites you to chop, cook, and eat together. It’s equipped with plenty of dishes, glasses, and silverware; a dishwasher with tabs; a convection oven; an extra-wide induction cooktop; a kettle and contact grill; a De’Longhi coffee machine with coffee; and a large side-by-side refrigerator with a water and ice dispenser.
For anyone who can’t—or doesn’t want to—live without the internet, we offer 100 Mbit/s internet via Wi-Fi throughout the house and garden, as well as through various network jacks in the living room and bedrooms.
The sofa in the living room is a great spot to relax, especially when a fire is blazing in the fireplace.
Firewood is available upon request—chopped, or at your own risk if you’d like to chop it yourself.
For those who prefer mental work to physical labor, two mobile work or conference tables with comfortable chairs and a 65-inch monitor are available. We can also provide a printer, flip chart, and presentation kit upon request.
Back to the monitor—also known as a TV.
Thanks to the built-in Chromecast and all sorts of pre-installed apps, you can, of course, simply watch TV shows on the monitor.
However, there’s no traditional TV via cable or satellite dish.
Of course, you can also go outside. Get some fresh air.
In the gently rolling countryside, there are lakes for swimming, beautiful hiking and biking trails, and a playground with a ping-pong table in the village square. During the day, you can watch birds in the sky, and at night, the stars.
Or sleep. On super-comfortable mattresses.
