Some mornings you wake to the smell of bread rising up through the floor. The Hearth sits just above Bakery by the Bay, on the second floor of The Brick & Beam, a boutique hotel in an 1885 building on Hurontario Street in downtown Collingwood. Exposed brick, earthy tones, and soft, low light. It`s a warm, luxury one-bedroom that asks nothing of you, the kind of room where the day slows on its own and you`re in no hurry to leave.
One guest wrote, `The hosts were fantastic, clear communication, easy check-in and everything felt thoughtfully taken care of.` (Kortney, Wasaga Beach)

The space
True to its name, the Hearth wraps you in warmth. The bedroom is its own quiet room, a queen bed with an upgraded memory-foam mattress and layered bedding, made for the kind of sleep you don`t want to wake from. Out in the living area, tall black-framed windows carry the light across the day, a queen pull-out sofa waits for two more, and a smart TV is there when you want it.
The kitchen is ready for a real meal in, warm wood and stainless steel with a dishwasher and everything you`d reach for, anchored by a handcrafted table built from timber salvaged from the building`s own 1885 structure. You cook and eat at a piece of the place itself. The bathroom is soft and modern, a walk-in shower, black fixtures, and 100% natural toiletries.
Dark feature walls against exposed brick, warm wood, leather, and Edison-lit pendants, with the original brick behind it all and fresh bread drifting up from below. It`s a room that was here long before you arrived, and it settles you in like it`s glad you came.
