Very friendly staff. Only stayed one night there in northern Cali. The room was clean and so comfortable.

Hotel smelled a little musty, could have used a vacuum but not horrible, just a little. Beds were comfy and front desk people were nice. Eureka as a town could use a come back, it is so lovely but lots of houseless folk which is sad to see however has nothing to do with the hotel.

As others have noted, this is a Red Lion hotel. That was fine with us. The 2 bedroom we rented as actually a large hotel room with an adjoining room with another bed. Bothe rooms were plenty large, clean and comfortable. But, don't expect 2 bedrooms and a separate living area and bathroom. It was fine for the price. The location was great for our purposes. About 5 blocks and you are in the historic district, although those five blocks may be a little too sketchy for the delicate. Free breakfast perfect and the staff throughout was wonderful.Overall, I would definitely stay again. Great staff and clean rooms. It is not a stand alone vacation home or condo, but it is a great place for a base to explore the Redwoods and historic Eureka.

Mainly I wish I would have known this was for the red lion inn. I was going through Vrbo to get a more unique experience. The room itself was huge. But that’s about the extent of what I can say. It was a rather run down hotel in a sketchy part of town. Breakfast was meh. You had to pay extra for eggs etc.
