Uniquely renovated 4-bedroom barn with cozy charm and space

The Barn on M Avenue is a uniquely renovated 1920's barn in the heart of Grundy County Iowa. The barn is dual function in that it can serve as an event space or a place to stay. With just a 10 minute drive either way to the charming communities of Parkersburg and Grundy Center, and a quick 25 minute drive to historic Cedar Falls, you will have the benefit of the peaceful life on the farm, but still have close access to restaurants and shopping.

The space
Located on our 6 acre commercial goat farm, The Barn on M Avenue is the perfect place to gather your family or friends to relax or host an event!

With 4 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms (one up and one down), you can easily sleep 10-12 people, but we will allow up to 15 people to spend the night. On the main level there are 3 bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed with an attached bunk room (full loft over a twin) which is perfect for kids! The second bedroom has a queen, a twin and a pullout futon (we have a foam mattress pad and bedding available for this). The third bedroom has a queen bed. Upstairs the 4th bedroom has a queen murphy bed. You will have access to the entire barn, including the event space. If you plan to stay AND host an event with more than 15 people, you must let us know, as there is an upcharge. The event space is on the second level of the barn and will hold up to 50 people. The event space boasts two 85" tv's and piano.

The first level of the barn is handicap accessible, the second level is not (however the stairs are very wide and it's easy to help someone up them.)

The barn has everything you would need for a fun stay with a group or a cozy night in as a couple. A brand new, fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable living space complete with a warm fireplace, a gym, and a ping pong table.

Guest access
A code will be sent for entrance into the front door of the barn. You are welcome to park in the front or drive around the south side for more privacy. The south side entrance is on concrete and has more parking space.

Other things to note
The barn is a perfect place for family gatherings, parties or events. You are welcome to use the event space to host a larger group, but there is an upcharge for that. Please remember that only 15 people may spend the night. Thank you for understanding.

Please note, there is currently no dedicated outdoor space with this rental. We are working on this and hope to add a space in the summer of 2026.
