The Lake House is very well maintained, with up-to-date amenities throughout. The beds are comfy, the TV and player in the living room are top quality, and the kitchen is more than adequate for most cooks.
We ate outside on the lovely deck, lounged by the lake in the Adirondack chairs, and splashed, swam, and tubed around on the clean lake water.
Our family swarmed in for a reunion and we all are ready for a repeat.
The Lake House is close to a fine public beach with more sand and is just down the road from a very good, somewhat pricey restaurant. Ennis, a 15-minute (or so) drive offers several good eating places. Madison Foods, on the close edge of Ennis is a decent little country grocery store, and the Cenex gas station offers very good coffee and a variety of excellent home-baked delights from the Country Bumpkin bakery.
Potential renters should know that the rental has no toys, so a stop at Target on the way in is a good idea. And this IS Montana, so have plenty of insect repellent and sunscreen.
