Historic vacation cottage in the heart of the old town at the historic harbor of Weener<br><br>Experience a truly idyllic harbor setting in our approximately 90-square-meter vacation home for 2 (+2) people, located right in the old town of the state-recognized resort town of Weener (Ems) in East Frisia. The region offers wonderful conditions for long hikes, varied bike tours, boat and canoe trips, and is an ideal fishing spot. <br><br>Historic estates, medieval churches, and interesting museums round out the cultural offerings for guests of all ages. The town of Weener is situated in the lush Rheiderland—in a prime location between the Ems River and the Netherlands. From here, you can reach beautiful destinations on both sides of the German-Dutch border. <br>In the Netherlands, visit the beautiful Oldambt region with its historic fortified towns (Bad Nieuweschans/Oudeschans) and the town of Winschoten; take a trip back in time in idyllic Appingedam with its hanging kitchens; or visit the lively city of Groningen. <br>On the German side, just a few kilometers away, the towns of Papenburg and Leer await your visit. Enjoy your East Frisian vacation: Experience the northern breeze in the idyllic fishing village of Ditzum, and right on site, from April through September, the heated outdoor pool “Friesenbad,” a mini-golf course, and tennis courts beckon. <br><br>Our vacation home is located right on the harbor and, despite its central location, is in a quiet area. Within a 1-kilometer radius, you’ll find various large supermarkets, bakeries, and other shopping options. <br><br>The house has three floors: The first floor features the kitchen/living area and a bathroom. On the first floor, there is a bedroom with a double bed, a bathroom with a shower, and a living room.<br><br>In the small backyard, you can enjoy the sun starting at noon. Please note! The house is a historic building. Please be aware that the stairs leading to the first floor and the attic are relatively steep.
