They live in downtown Herborn, right next to the historic city wall, below the Covin printing shop.
Parts of the printing house have been dated to 1606.
At that time, the printing house was considered very significant in Central Europe for its high-quality printed materials—and was likely even regarded as the most important printing center.
In 1666, the famous “Piscator Bible” was printed there, which was widely distributed in the Netherlands, North America, and Switzerland.
Herborn’s oldest city gate, the Eiserne Pforte, is also located directly behind the building where your vacation rental is situated.
Walk through this gate and you’ll find yourself right in the Old Town with its 1,000-year-old history, half-timbered houses, and vibrant atmosphere. Cafés, restaurants, shopping, bus and train stops are all within walking distance, as are the Protestant City Church, the Hohe Schule, the City Museum, the Historic City Hall, the Alte Färberei, the Dill River, civic monuments, the zoo, and much more.
Near Herborn, you’ll find Hesse’s largest cave system (12,891 m long and 92 m deep), the Aartalsee, the Heisterberger Weiher, the Fuchkaute, the Donsbach Wildlife Park, the Uckersdorf Bird Park, Tringenstein Castle, the Junkernschloss, and much more.
There is a large parking lot in front of the house where you can park for free at night and on weekends.
You can usually also find free parking along the side of Nassaustraße. You’ll have no trouble parking your car. The highway exit is less than 5 minutes away.
We look forward to your visit! 😊
