Attractions
At the far northern tip of the island sits Great Point Lighthouse, an aid to mariners both past and present, and home to great fishing, so long as the seals that congregate around the point don’t catch your line! But in order to get there you will need an Over the Sand permit and a four wheel drive vehicle.
Wauwinet is also home to one of the country’s most exclusive resorts – the aptly named Wauwinet Hotel. The hotel, along with its incredible restaurant Topper’s, has received accolades from highly regarded sources such as Conde Nast Traveler, Zagat, and Wine Spectator year after year. Both hotel guests and folks from all around the island enjoy the superb cuisine here.
