Loved the location

This was the perfect location for a 3 night stay for my two daughters and I. We loved the location and peaceful, beautiful setting. We did so much in 3 days! I hope to come back with my husband! Thank you for being so organized also, the information provided was so useful!

Great Location

The apartment was nothing fancy, but was clean and had everything we needed for a great stay in Yosemite. The location is awesome, just a short drive to glacier point or the valley. We really enjoyed sitting out on the deck, bbq-ing and watching the sun set. Only negatives would be the bed is not super comfortable, and there are a lot of steps to get up to the apt. from the parking area, but if you're coming to yosemite, you're probably ready for some hiking anyway. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the place. It was exactly as pictured.

My husband and I loved the red door place. It was just as it was in the pictures. It was clean and neat and just enough space for us. We read all of the information provided to us prior to the rental from the home owner/renter. It was very helpful. We made sure we had all of our groceries/drinks/etc for our stay before we arrived. We also appreciate how well the spices were stocked. We are from Ohio and stayed three nights. We hiked roughly 22 miles in the 3 days there. We also saw a bear and a coyote whiles driving through the park. What an amazing trip. I would rent this place again. Amy from Ohio

The Perfect Hideaway

My husband and I spent a week in Yosemite and the Red Door could not have been a more perfect base camp. Just the right size for a couple, the apartment was comfortably furnished and spotlessly clean upon our arrival. We loved the quietness of the neighborhood, and were pleased at how convenient it was to the Valley floor as well as Glacier Point and Wagon, where the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoia trees are. The kitchen, while small, was perfectly adequate for our cooking needs. At night, the deck made a wonderful spot from which to stargaze. The bed was comfortable and the shower had good water pressure. And there were plenty of towels!! We also loved the gas fireplace. When next we visit Yosemite, we'd love to once again make The Red Door our home away from home.

Clean, spacious and convenient

The Red Door apartment is located about 30 minutes from the valley and 30 minutes to Wawona. It was a great location for us. The apartment was super clean and spacious. Georgeta left us a very nice gift basket of goodies and she has put a lot of thought into stocking the apartment with useful items such as plastic wrap and sandwich bags. The deck with table and chairs was a nice bonus too. We enjoyed our stay!

Excellent location for Yosemite Park

The Red Door apartment was exceptionally neat and clean and well appointed. Georgeta was very professional and responsive. Yosemite West is a little difficult to find without gps but the directions we received were good and once we got the lay of the land, it was easy to explore the park. If you plan to hike the park, then the stairs up to the Red Door is just a warm up. No cell service, so bring a good book. We recommend this rental.

Great Location Away From the Crowds

This is a very nice, quite place to stay. My wife and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Georgeta was very helpful and responsive. Welcomed us with a nice basket of snacks and wine. Loved the location - minutes from Glacier Point Road and about half way between the Mariposa Grove and the Valley. Would stay here again.

Great location inside Park gates

Great location inside Park gates. The apartment was cute and of a good size, nicely appointed. The only downside is that you can hear the guests upstairs ( I requested at midnight they quiet down and they did), and the bed was just a full-size, not a queen, so we had a bit difficulty sleeping. The bedroom is ample size so a larger bed would fit, but overall I would recommend staying here. Thanks so much.

The perfect place to stay!

This was our first time to Yosemite, so we were a little unsure where to stay. We came upon this place, and it was absolutely perfect for us. It didn't take too long to get down to the valley--we just packed for the day, and drove in (20 mins). It was nice to have access to a full bathroom, kitchen, grill, and washer and dryer. The hosts were very responsive leading up to the trip, and the place was very nice and clean. Would recommend!

A clean, comfortable and well maintained respite after a busy day in the park.

Evergreen sentinels loom o’er unmatched sunsets. A fitting daily curtain closing on each chapter of our trek to view nature’s wonders in the Valley and beyond. The Red Door served as a most comforting abode after each day’s adventures, some strenuous and others pure pleasure. And of course, 39 steps to relaxation was a fitting test in the spirit of Yosemite’s trails. Thank you for your hospitality.

Adorable place in a great location!

We loved our stay at the Red Door apartment. It was easy to get to the hikes around Yosemite and quick drive to the Valley. It's right near Badger pass - so easy access to hiking, snowshoeing & nordic skiing. If you go in the winter, be sure to have chains - we were grateful we had them in the 24+ inches of snow going up and down the mountain roads. The apartment had everything we needed and was super cozy!

Perfect Getaway!

The Red Door was the perfect spot to explore all of Yosemite NP! We loved "coming home" to a glass of wine and dinner on the deck after hiking! The house had everything we needed...plenty of towels, pots and pans, comfy bed and a great location. We appreciated the thorough pre-trip info that was sent to us...where to get gas, groceries and excellent directions. This location made viewing sunset at Tunnel View, climbing Sentinel Dome and beating the crowds to Glacier Point and Bridalveil Falls a breeze! Thank you for welcoming us into your home!

All three of us walked in to the house and said Wow!

It is a perfectly maintained and fully stocked lovely unit. The owner may want to make sure there is enough room for a three people party to sleep in, but I found out there is nothing to worry about for that. Also the layout of the floor plan seems very good too. The owner made sure everything you need for a trip is adequately provided--sheets, blanket, towels, paper products, seasonings in the kitchen, kitchen utensils, everything you can think of. I do believe the owner walked extra miles to make the unit welcoming and cozy. We absolutely appreciate the hospitality.

Great stay!

Wonderful property. Close to everything yet far away enough that not overwhelmed by tourists. Clean, warm, private...excellent. I walked around the hotels in the valley and staying here is exponentially better. tip: Head to the valley early in the morning before the tours and it feels very private.

Home-like apartment

Overall, the apartment is nice and was well stocked. We received an arrival basket of free goodies and we enjoyed using their board games for evening entertainment. The view was really nice and the room was dark for sleeping. Lots of extra towels and blankets. Lots of dishes, pans, spices, ect in the kitchen. The only complaint I have is that the first night there were people staying above us and we could hear their TV right through the floor and we couldn't fall asleep until they turned it off. The second night no one stayed above us so it was nice and quiet!

Great location away from the crowds in the valley

Red door apartment was clean, perfectly stocked, and in an amazing location to get away from the crowds. I would highly recommend this rental! For an off the beaten path hike, try the chilaluna waterfall in wawona.
