Spiti Margarita is located on the way to the beach, to the right of the small village church, surrounded by a large garden with a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea and the mountains.
It is a very peaceful retreat. The sounds of birds and insects, the wind, and the sound of the sea provide the background noise. You can relax on the shaded terrace on thick foam cushions or find a spot to lie down in the partial shade of the garden.
Inside, the house offers a spacious living and dining area with an open kitchen equipped with just about everything. You also have a wonderful view from there. There’s an outdoor kitchen with a grill in the garden in front of the house.
During the colder months, you can heat the living area with a wood-burning stove. The sofa can also be used as a fifth sleeping spot.
The two bedrooms with double beds each have their own bathroom with a shower; one of them is wheelchair-accessible.
On the same property, there is another garage-like building with a small living unit, which is sometimes occupied by the homeowner.
However, during the rental period, the vacation home and garden are for the exclusive use of the guests. Guests are welcome to harvest and enjoy all the fruit from the garden, such as lemons, grapes, nectarines, apricots, and pomegranates, etc.
There are 2 mini-markets and 7 taverns in the village. Three of them are located right on the beach with a magnificent view of the sea. The food is fresh and very good everywhere.
There is a larger supermarket and a pharmacy in Platanos, the neighboring village about 7 km away.
A car is helpful for exploring the beautiful surroundings, which feature stunning beaches, lush vegetation, high mountains, and cultural sites.
If you’re a good walker, you won’t need a car in the village itself—it’s about a 10-minute walk to the beach.
Please do not feed the village cats or stray dogs; they like to lie on the upholstery and bring pests into the house.
