Casa de Paz: Quiet South ATX Retreat

Enjoy our peaceful South Austin bungalow, nestled in the Whispering Oaks neighborhood. Sip your morning coffee or spread out your yoga mat on the private & quiet backyard patio, or head out to explore all that Austin has to offer, such as historic South Congress Ave, ~10 min away, or downtown`s museums and restaurants, ~15 min away. House is great for professionals (WFH area & fast fiber-optic WiFi), families, and anyone looking for a comfortable stay in Austin.

Amenities: Cooking-ready kitchen (dishes, pantry items, cooking equipment), Microwave, Coffee Maker, TV (Chromecast included), lightening fast Wi-Fi, Blackout curtains in master for comfortable sleeping, Washer/Dryer, Smart thermostat Air Conditioning/Heating, Tub, Garage/Driveway parking, Essentials (towels, sheets, soap, toilet paper).

Our home is designed and furnished to make you feel comfortable and at home during your stay. The living room is open, and a great place to kick back and enjoy a movie night or catch up on your favorite shows. The sliding backdoor can be opened to let in a fresh breeze. The master bedroom includes a well-lit, comfortable workspace. The front dining room is a perfect spot to sit down and enjoy a meal.

We have a smartlock. A pass code will be provided to guests, and they can check-in at any time of the day. We are available by phone call and/or text for any questions you may have.

We have a wonderful neighborhood. We are close to popular South Austin spots such as Austin Java, Radio Coffee & Veracruz Tacos, and Moontower. Full recommendations are included in our guidebook onsite. In addition, our neighbors are welcoming, kind, and thoughtful!

Local restaurants, shops, and attractions are close and easily accessible by car or Uber/Lyft. Our neighborhood has little traffic and all streets have sidewalks. It is great for a stroll, jog, or bike ride.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is the yard fenced?
Yes. The backyard is fenced.

Is noise an issue?
No. the house is on a quiet street with quiet neighbors.

What is the parking situation?
There is plenty of parking for a car or two in the driveway and plenty more on the street.

Is the space wheelchair friendly?
There is a small step to the house then the house is all one level.

How do I check in?
A day before your arrival, we send the details for your check in: address, door code, wifi info. You will be able to come and go using a code. Your personal code is activated at 3 pm, so if you request an early check in the code may not work. Just remind us!

Is a Pack n Play Available?
If you let us know ahead of time, we can have a pack n play and/or high chair at the house for you.

Can I extend a stay?
To extend a stay, you can request through the app or message us. We will check the calendar then send confirmation with the new payout.

Can I change or cancel my reservation?
We have a moderate cancellation policy. It may vary a bit between platforms, but usually 5 days prior to arrival guests may receive a full refund. If a guests wants to make changes within the five days arrival or after arrival, we cannot provide a refund.

Are pets allowed?
Due to allergies, we cannot host pets.

Are there extra pillows?
We provided two pillows per person. For instance, a queen bed will have four sleeping pillows. We leave plenty of extra blankets as well.

Are extra guests allowed?
If you have a few (2-3) friends pop over, this is not an issues. If you have extra guests sleeping over or more than five guests for an event, please ask and we can asses:)

Is smoking allowed outside?
Yes, you are welcome to smoke outside the space. Please pick up cigarette butts. Smoking inside the home would result in a 250.00 fee for cleaning and possible blocking nights for other guests.

Could we leave our luggage?
We are able to store luggage in the space for two hours before or after check in. Let us know so our cleaners are not surprised. There is also a service (usebounce) that is an option for storing bags.

Could I have an early check-in or late checkout?
We can arrange an early or late check out. The fee is $20 per hour up to two hours. We use V.nmo for this (@PB-Austin)

What is a MUST do in Austin?
We love Barton Springs (especially in warmer months). South Congress has so much in a close proximity. Park close to Jo’s Coffee and stroll from there (shopping, cafes, music!). Vera Cruz tacos are really the best Austin has! Our Capital is gorgeous and very worth a drive by!
