Lovely vacation home

We had a wonderful time at this condo. The location on perdidio key was awsome and the condo unit was exactly as described. We will definitely rent again

Beautiful stay!

We loved our beautiful condo weekend at Beach Colony! Only issue was that communication about the check-in process was lacking, and we never received our door key pad code. It took nearly an hour on the phone trying to reach someone who could help.

Great Vacation Rental on the Beach

This unit is well appointed and comfortable. Unit was very clean with all amenities required for a great holiday. Would definitely rent this unit again when back in the area.

Check in

Pleased with everything except for check in they told us we could get in early and then the code wouldn’t work. Had to wait in the heat with tired children for 30 min and multiple attempts to customer service to get into place.

If you like “clean” you will be disappointed

Condo was not cleaned when we arrived at 4:00 to check in. We were given an incorrect code for the keypad. Glass shower doors in one bathroom were unsafe due to broken track. Upholstery on sofa and loveseat was dirty. When I moved bed to access outlet there was all kinds of debris. I had to vacuum. Sheets had not been changed on one double bed. There was hair and sand in the bed. The rug in the bedroom was filthy. The elevators were unreliable and the rugs in the elevator were beyond filthy. We called upon check in and were promised a return call. That never happened. Very disappointing

Long weekend

We stayed for a long weekend. The checkin process was absolutely insane. Every code they sent did not work. It took 20 minutes to get a person on the phone. She was really nice and we went through 5 codes together. It was 98 degrees and we were stuck outside waiting for hour half. The cleaning people showed up to clean the condo an hour after we were supposed to check in. They allowed us to sit on couch while they cleaned due to extreme heat for my elderly dad. We were just grateful they could get in and allow us some air. The maintenance people finally came to fix lock but also couldn’t get it to work. We were finally given an emergency code. After settling in, we had a wonderful stay. The condo is beautiful and the the ocean water was clear. I would recommend better contact and/or information for mishaps.

Relaxation was key

I wasn’t able to get into the condo for about an hour because I was provided the wrong code. Once inside, the property was “clean” but not as clean as expected. I found hair on the floor, surfaces were not adequately wiped down and there was an odor coming from the refrigerator. The master bathroom toilet was a bit finicky as well. Attempts to reach the property manager were unsuccessful. I was told that someone would come and deal with the refrigerator issue, but no one did. The location was the saving grace. A less than 2 minute elevator ride and walk and you were on the beach that was just for condo guests. The area was quiet and I was able to do what I needed to do…relax.

Lovely view of Perdido!

Lovely stay. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, love the patio furniture!!! Could be more kid friendly. The toilet handle in the master bath is broke & sometimes doesn’t flush, heating element probably out in dryer, had to dry every load at least twice, loved that there were beach things to use!!! Super appreciated! Patio doors are either just very heavy and hard to open it may need attention, also lock on same door in LR is very hard to lock. None of these are complaints. We were super happy with the accommodations, fav is the patio for sure!!! Only complaint is not enough towels & when I called to ask for more they said they’d bring more and no one did. That has nothing to do with the owner or the property but more of housekeeping. They were there when we checked in. Oddly, I got an email around 2pm that the property was ready for our. Heck I’m at 4pm but when we arrived just after 4 they were still cleaning. I am thankful though because the code I was provided to the door did not work so they helped me by creating one for me. Nice uogrqdes to the condo and it really is beautiful!

Nice Condo

This was a nice condo to stay in for a short beach trip with friends. The layout was great and was really close to the beach. It’s on the second floor, close to the pool, and a short walk to the beach. Beach chairs are available to rent for a reasonable price. This unit is managed through Vacasa, so you will make your second payment and get all the check in details from Vacasa not VRBO. Some cons of this rental: - two toilets were broken throughout the trip, a repairman fixed them but they broke again shortly after - the unit could use a deep clean, one bathroom was very visibly dirty, the fridge smelt like fish the entire stay -multiple electrical outlets did not work throughout the unit, only one outlet worked in the bedroom we slept in -the master bedroom curtains are terrible, if you have the bathroom light on at night everyone outside can see straight through the curtains -beds are not comfortable, bring extra blankets -only 2 parking spots come with this rental, if you have a 3rd vehicle you’ll have to pay to park it at another location miles from the condo

Constant Confusion

The most difficult check in ever, had I not needed in right at 4, it would not have been an issue but I was unable to get into the condo until 4:45 p.m., not only that, but we found sand in our sheets, hairs (what seemed to be pubic) all over the bathrooms, and to top it off, a giant cockroach joined us on our stay.

Poorly managed

The condo was nicely decorated and had a great view. There were some minor wear & tear issues (broken ceiling fan, master bath door didn’t close well, pilled sheets). When we arrived our door code didn’t work. We were locked out for 30 minutes while Vacasa gave us multiple codes to try. Eventually, the housekeeping staff had to give us the master code. The refrigerator reeked of old fish and didn’t cool. We made multiple calls to Vacasa, after 24 hours (and $50 of spoiled groceries) maintenance showed up with 2 boxes of baking soda and suggested turning the temp on the fridge down which we had already done. Our fridge didn’t get below 40 degrees until 2 days into the trip. We had to keep our food in an ice chest because the smell was so bad. No one from Vacasa tried to remedy the problem. I will not be renting any property managed by them in the future.

Short weekend vacation

This condo is need of deep cleaning. There were stains on the couches, walls, and rugs throughout. Based on the reviews, I expected a much cleaner condo. However, the views and location are amazing.
