The Space:

Wake up each morning to the sun rising over the Gulf of Mexico at Lighthouse 706, a gulf-front retreat beautifully positioned to overlook the white sand beach.



This condo is a wonderful home base for your Gulf Shores adventures - mere steps from the beach and the resort amenities downstairs, with central air conditioning, free WiFi, and a private washer/dryer to welcome you back each afternoon. Enjoy a full kitchen with brand new stainless steel appliances, a shaded balcony with gorgeous views of the gulf, and flatscreen TVs in the living room and the two bedrooms. The living room has been updated with new furniture, while the bunk room has been remodeled with new bunks!



Lighthouse comes with a host of amenities that include two zero-entry pools, a heated indoor pool, two hot tubs, a fitness center with a sauna, and 635 feet of private beach. You'll be a quarter-mile from Gulf State Park, three-quarters of a mile from the Gulf State Park Pier, and three-quarters of a mile from the Gulf Shores Parkway - the thoroughfare that's home to Waterville USA and dozens of popular restaurants, eateries, ice cream parlors, activities, and attractions.

Good for families

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The lighthouse offered two pools, one being zero entry which was perfect for our three year olds. Private beach access was a great feature. The room itself was perfectly functional. A few areas throughout the room were showing some age but nothing too bad. The mattresses were not very comfortable in either room and one of the bar stools was broken before we even entered the room. Other than those things everything else was as pictured. Great location to everything in either Gulf Shores or Orange Beach.

Cleanliness not a priority

I chose this condo over similar listings because of the ratings and comments on cleanliness. Unfortunately this unit needs a significant deep clean! The baseboards were very dirty throughout the unit as was the wall near the kitchen garbage. Cabinets above the microwave had significant dust/grease accumulation. The master bath was quite unpleasant-most grout/caulk lines were black with mildew. The space between the shower and bathtub was very dirty as well! Several sheets and pillow cases had stains as did several couch cushions . The window in the bunk room was very very gross with dirt/mildew. This was very disappointing. The owner of this unit needs to do a walk through- and hire a better cleaning crew!

No AC. No accountability.

We stayed 3 out of 4 nights with no AC. I understand that sometimes things break, and that just happens, but it was handled horribly! We arrived late on a Tuesday and alerted Vacasa immediately that the AC was not working. We were told they would have someone out the next day. No one ever came or updated us. Wednesday afternoon I contacted them again and they acted like it was my fault because I notified them outside of their 9-5 business range, even though it is clearly says there is 24/7 support and I was already told that the local property manager was alerted and would be coming. Then the story changed, saying that the local property manager was not responding to them, and then the story changed again and the local property manager was supposed to be out there first thing Thursday morning, he did not come until mid afternoon on Thursday just to tell us that he could not get the part that was needed until Friday, but he would be there first thing in the morning between 8 and 8:30. When we questioned him on why it took him so long to get there in the first place, he blamed it on Vacasa and said he was just now alerted that we had a problem. So on day FOUR of our trip, did he show up early AM like we were told? No. Called Vacasa, they blamed it on him again. We stayed away from the room as much as possible because it was miserable and hot. Finally got AC Friday afternoon, only to leave the following morning. The SMALL refund given to us because of this was a joke.
