We are a local family who carefully restored our historic family home, Pri Štefacovih, which dates back to 1628. The renovation was done with great respect for the house, our ancestors, and the traditions of this special region.
We love nature, peaceful village life and sharing the beauty of Lake Cerknica and the Notranjska region with our guests. Our goal is to create a warm, authentic place where guests can slow down, relax and experience Slovenia beyond the typical tourist routes.

Žerovnica is a small historic village located on the edge of the extraordinary Lake Cerknica, one of the largest intermittent lakes in Europe. The landscape here changes with the seasons – sometimes it is a lake, sometimes wide open meadows.
The area is perfect for peaceful walks, cycling, birdwatching and discovering traditional rural life. At the same time, many of Slovenia’s most famous attractions are nearby, including Postojna Cave, Predjama Castle and the Škocjan Caves.
What we love most about the neighborhood is the quiet atmosphere, beautiful nature and the feeling of stepping into a slower rhythm of life.
