My family and I live in Traverse City. We moved here from a Detroit suburb in 2003 and have loved calling this area home. In 2014 we decided to share our town with summer visitors and find a quieter place to spend our summers. We discovered a charming cabin about an hour north on beautiful Intermediate Lake — now called The Wet Nest — and instantly fell in love with Bellaire, Central Lake, and the lake’s shoreline. Since then we’ve bought additional properties on the lake and a few long-term rentals in the area. We’ve enjoyed many summers on the water and look forward to one day retiring there.

Just steps away from Intermediate Lake this cozy cabin offers direct access to The Upper Chain of Lakes, with boat rental directly across the river. Around the corner is Thurston Park where there is a beach and playground. Walk 2 blocks to downtown where you can enjoy restaurants, groceries, distillery, and ice cream! Spend mornings enjoying your coffee while listening to loons and evenings around your bonfire.

This charming log cabin features 2 bedrooms — a king bedroom and a queen bedroom — plus a pull-out sofa bed in the living room, comfortably sleeping a group or family. The fully stocked kitchen makes meal prep easy, and the remodeled bathroom and new, updated furniture give the cottage a fresh, comfortable feel. Riverside outdoor living includes ample seating on the deck, a propane grill for cookouts, a sunny porch for relaxing, and additional seating on the private dock. Kayaks are provided for exploring the river and nearby lakes.

Located in one of Northern Michigan’s most sought-after travel destinations, this cabin offers easy access to the region’s best outdoor and recreational attractions. Located on Intermediate River with direct access to the Upper Chain Of Lakes it's also just minutes from Lake Michigan and Torch Lake, you’re never far from world-class beaches and boating. Explore nearby Glacial Hills for scenic hiking, or hit the slopes at Shanty Creek/Schuss Mountain. Situated in the heart of wine country with celebrated tasting rooms nearby, and just a short drive to Short’s Brewing Company, the area blends outdoor adventure with great dining, drinks, and local charm.
