Boutique Beach House in Atlantic City - Quiet South Side, Walk to Beach

A quiet, thoughtfully restored beach house just minutes from the Boardwalk—designed for guests who want to enjoy Atlantic City without being stuck in the chaos.

Located in the Lower Chelsea neighborhood on the south side, The Chelsea House offers a rare balance: walkable access to the beach, dining, and entertainment, with the comfort of a calm, residential setting.

Originally built during Atlantic City’s Prohibition-era peak, the home has been fully renovated (2024–2025) to bring modern comfort into a space that still feels authentic, warm, and intentionally designed.

This is not a generic rental—it’s a curated stay with character.

The home comfortably sleeps 5.

Corner home in a quiet, gated garden community (Ann Dover Gardens)
Wrap-around patio with outdoor seating and grill
Bright, comfortable living room with large TV
Fully equipped kitchen with gas range, dishwasher, and island
Washer and dryer in-unit

The Atlantic Suite – Queen bed, calm and refined
The Harbor Room – Two full beds, ideal for families or shared stays
The Hideaway – Twin bed, cozy and private

Each room includes excellent storage and its own mini-split for personalized climate control.

Less than 2½ blocks to the beach (about a 7-minute walk)
Jitney stop under 200 feet away for easy access to casinos and the Boardwalk
Corner grocery store less than half a block away
Golf cart rental located next door

You’re close to everything—but not in the middle of the noise.

Guests have access to everything needed for a beach day:

Beach cart with balloon tires
Beach chairs, umbrella, and tent
Boogie boards

Spend the day at the beach or exploring Atlantic City, then come back to a quiet space to relax and recharge.

The Chelsea House is designed for guests who value comfort, atmosphere, and a more refined way to experience the city.

This is a quiet, residential community.

We respect our neighbors and ask that noise is kept at a reasonable level at all times.

This is not a party house.

If you’re looking for a clean, well-designed home near the beach—with easy access to everything Atlantic City has to offer—The Chelsea House is a great fit.

Our stay was amazing! The house was beautiful, close to a lot of great places for coffee and snacks, close walking distance to the boardwalk and very quiet. The neighborhood was beautiful. You could sit outside and enjoy a cup of coffee or a cold beverage without it feeling like you are in a loud city setting! Amazing trip

Everything went very smoothly during our stay. The host was very responsive. We loved the modern, clean home to stay in with lovely decor! It was so quiet at night and the beds we used were super comfortable. If we head back to AC, we would definitely want to use this rental again!

David is a great host, very friendly and accommodating. The place is beautiful with high-end finishes, very spacious, and we got great sleep. Location is great: it's close enough to downtown Atlantic City to get to attractions, but far enough to escape the undesirable elements. Nice neighborhood. Right around the corner from a tasty bake shop, coffee shop, and poke spot with vegetarian and vegan options. Easy walk to the beach. I will 100% return next time I'm in Atlantic City. Thanks, David!

We loved this property. It was a short two blocks to the beach, on a nice quiet stretch without too many people on the beach. The house itself was immaculate and very comfortable. The property has nice amenities such as good beach equipment, a beautiful kitchen, tvs with streaming provided through lots of providers like Disney, fast wifi, and even a thoughtful welcome basket with goodies upon arrival. The beds were very comfortable, and it was great having remote controlled AC in each room so we can each be comfortable. The outside covered porch was also nice, as was the frequent visits by the neighborhood cat Rainbow. The kids loved the house, and we would definitely come back. David was also great and very responsive to any questions you may have.

We loved the location of this property - easy walk to the boardwalk/beach and walkable to Atlantic City and Ventnor City. There are plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, too. The house is great - open concept downstairs with a great kitchen and large peninsula as well as sitting area. Three bedrooms upstairs are spacious. David was an attentive host, provided all the information we needed, and stocked the home with all the necessities. Will definitely return!!

Fantastic VRBO Stay! Perfect Location and Beautiful Home! The location is ideal, very close to the beach, and also fun to walk down the boardwalk to all the restaurants and shops. The house itself is beautiful inside, and the hosts truly thought of everything. We were impressed by the thoughtful touches like snacks and fancy shampoo in the bathrooms. The house was immaculately clean, and the beds were super comfy. We didn't use the kitchen, but it had everything you would need to cook a gourmet meal. The shower was amazing, and we loved that there was a bathroom on both floors. The wifi was speedy and easy to connect. There are all the beach items you need right at the house for a perfect day at the shore, and we had great parking too, which made everything so convenient. One feature we especially loved was that each room has its own individual AC. It was crazy hot outside, so coming back into the cool air was a blessing. The hosts were easy to reach and so kind throughout our stay. We also discovered, within a five-minute walk, an amazing ice cream shop called Juli Pink Ice Cream and a nearby coffee shop called Brewberry Cafe – they had the best Dubai chocolate crepe I've ever tasted, along with amazing coffee.Highly recommend this VRBO for anyone looking for a perfect beach getaway!

Hi, I’m David. I’m based in Bucks County, PA, and I’ve always loved creating spaces that feel comfortable, easy, and a little bit elevated from the everyday.

My wife and I spend time down in Atlantic City, and what we enjoy most about this area is the balance—you’re close to everything (beach, boardwalk, great food, nightlife), but tucked into a quieter neighborhood where you can actually relax. That’s exactly the experience we wanted to create for guests.

We take pride in making sure the house is clean, well-stocked, and thoughtfully set up so your stay feels smooth from the moment you arrive. Whether you’re here for a weekend getaway, a show, or just some time by the beach, we want it to feel easy and enjoyable.

If you ever need anything or want local recommendations, I’m always happy to help.

この宿泊施設のオーナーになった理由

We chose this neighborhood because it offers the best of both worlds in Atlantic City. You’re just minutes from the beach, boardwalk, casinos, and great restaurants—but tucked away on the quieter, south side near Ventnor, where it feels more relaxed and residential.

What we love most is how peaceful and welcoming it is. The community is well-kept, with great lighting and a safe, comfortable feel—perfect for unwinding after a day out. You can take a short walk to catch the jitney, head to the beach, or grab a quick bite nearby without dealing with the heavier crowds.

It’s the kind of area where you can enjoy everything Atlantic City has to offer, then come back and actually relax.

この宿泊施設の特徴

What makes our property unique is the balance of comfort, location, and thoughtful details.

The home sits on a corner lot with a private wrap-around patio, giving you more space and a bit of separation that’s hard to find in Atlantic City. It’s located in a quiet, well-kept community on the south side near Ventnor, so you’re close to everything—but without the noise and crowds.

Inside, we’ve focused on creating a clean, comfortable space that feels intentional rather than just “rental ready.” From the layout to the small touches, everything is designed to make your stay easy—whether you’re here for a quick getaway or a longer stay.

It’s not just a place to stay—it’s a place to reset after enjoying everything Atlantic City has to offer.
