Welcome to "West View Cabins". We offer four (4) cabins tucked together on Otsego Lake, directly on Trail 7.

This listing is for Cabin #1 "The Cottage House" — It’s your roomy, comfortable basecamp for lake days, trail exploring, and everything northern Michigan throws your way. As the largest cabin on the property, it offers two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a kitchen with a center island. It sleeps 8: The primary bedroom has 2 queen beds and its own ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower. The second bedroom a queen‑size bed. A second hallway bathroom, also with a tub/shower, keeps everyone comfortable. There's a queen sleeper sectional in the living room. and the open‑concept living room is made for relaxing.

Stay connected with Wi-Fi and relax with essentials like air conditioning, individual grill, and picnic table. Just bring beach towels!

Resort community amenities include your own boat slip at the dock, trailer parking, two large firepits overlooking the lake, kayaks, bikes, lawn games, grassy commons area, shallow sandy bottom swimming area, floats and water games, and picnic tables.

*Note: Docks are available approximately Memorial Weekend to Labor Day Weekend, weather permitting.

**There are 25 wood steps with a handrail down to the waterfront.

***Always Improving: To ensure the highest quality stay for our guests, we are currently in the process of refreshing our interiors. While the layout and amenities remain as described, some furniture and decor items may differ from the listing photos due to these recent upgrades.

****Pets: One dog under 50# per cabin, with a $25/night pet fee. Please check the box when making the reservation that says, "Traveling with pets" and then message us with the color/description of your furry friend.

*****As required by Vrbo policy, this is a camera location disclosure. There are three (3) exterior cameras onsite to monitor parking areas (one on the garage and two on Cabin 4 exterior).

The property was very nice and relaxing. I was disappointed because there is NO lake view from cabin 1. The only cabin that has a view of the lake is cabin 4. The cabin was very roomy and clean. Some of the furniture is a bit dated. It also had no kleenex or hair dryer. There was no back yard so our grill and picnic table was set up on the side of the driveway. The fire pits were great and stocked with wood. The host was quick to respond.

Amenities: We list all provided amenities upfront so guests know exactly what to expect. While we don't stock facial tissues or hair dryers, we always aim to supply the core essentials for a comfortable stay. Layout & Furnishings: We take pride in our vacation spaces and have recently updated the majority of furniture, beds, and linens across the property. We’ll certainly keep your thoughts on the front deck setup in mind as we evaluate future layout improvements. Thank you again for staying with us and helping us refine the guest experience!

What sets this property apart is its rare combination of flexibility, privacy, and pure Up North charm. Instead of a single rental, guests have access to four quaint cottages, each with its own character. Whether someone is planning a quiet couples’ getaway, a family vacation, or a large group retreat, they can rent one cottage or all four, creating a setup that’s hard to find anywhere else.

The location is another standout feature. The cottages are nestled perfectly between Otsego Lake and the state forest, giving guests the best of both worlds—sandy shoreline on one side and peaceful wooded trails on the other.
