The Deluxe Suite on the ground floor is exceptionally and luxuriously furnished, perfectly suited for up to two guests. It is a true one-of-a-kind: As a family, we extensively core-renovated the beautiful Art Nouveau Villa Weitmar from 1906, creating six unique apartments with immense attention to detail and bespoke craftsmanship.

The comprehensive modernization included replacing the original wooden beam ceilings with reinforced concrete slabs, installing sound-decoupled floors with underfloor heating, and integrating custom-made wooden built-ins. The lime-cement plaster and lime putty finish, combined with ceiling heights of approx. four meters, ensure a pleasant, healthy, and restful indoor climate. We deliberately preserved the aesthetics of the reinforced concrete, refining them into stunning exposed concrete ceilings. The entire building is equipped with a sustainable heating system.

For a Restful Stay:
To ensure nothing gets in the way of your downtime, soundproof windows block out street noise. The electric blackout blinds guarantee a deep, restorative sleep in your king-size double bed—whether by day or by night.

The Highlight: The apartment features an additional sleeping space on a beautifully designed gallery level—for a truly special sleeping experience.

Seamless Arrival:
At Villa Weitmar, your relaxation begins the moment you arrive. The check-in process is fully digital, flexible, and contactless—with no key handovers or waiting times.

After booking, you will receive a secure link for a brief online registration for you and your fellow travelers. Once this quick process is completed, your personal access is set up.

On your day of arrival, your access will automatically activate right at 3:00 PM. You'll enjoy total independence until your check-out at 11:00 AM on the day of departure.

Throughout your entire stay, you can conveniently open doors via your smartphone or by using your individual PIN code on the keypad.

To ensure a completely relaxed arrival, we will, of course, send you all important access details again as a quick reminder on your arrival day.

Kitchen:
The kitchen in the apartment is fully equipped, featuring an oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a stovetop, a kettle, a Nespresso coffee machine, as well as high-quality dishes and cutlery.

Location & Neighborhood:
Villa Weitmar is ideally situated just south of the city center in Bochum-Weitmar, offering the perfect surroundings. Numerous restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, pharmacies, and bars are within easy walking distance. It serves as the perfect starting point to experience the vibrant metropolis of Bochum, while remaining a peaceful retreat.

Just a few steps away lies the Schlosspark, blending nature, architecture, and art. The picturesque park with a small playground connects directly to the grounds of the moated castle Haus Weitmar, the Sylvester Chapel, and the Museum unter Tage. The adjacent Weitmarer Holz, featuring a wildlife enclosure, is Bochum's most beautiful forest area, offering those seeking peace and nature the chance for an extended woodland walk. Additionally, the Springorum-Trasse cycling path runs right through the Schlosspark Weitmar.

Heading towards the city center, you'll quickly reach the trendy Ehrenfeld district, known for its charming cafes, restaurants, craft shops, and independent boutiques. The renowned Schauspielhaus (theatre) is located in the heart of the district, and the famous Bermuda3Eck pub district and the downtown area are just a stone's throw away. Every Thursday, a weekly market takes place in Ehrenfeld between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM.

Public Transport & Mobility:
Connectivity is ideal: The tram (lines 308/318) and a bus stop are just a few meters from Villa Weitmar, bringing you directly to the main train station and the city center in just a few minutes. For drivers, the A448 highway is right around the corner, guaranteeing quick and easy routes throughout the entire Ruhr area.

Parking:
Camera-monitored parking spaces, secured by an electric gate, are available in the backyard for €5.00 per day. Bicycles can be stored safely and free of charge in the basement.

Other Important Info:

The entire building is strictly non-smoking. A penalty fee of €250.00 may apply in case of a violation.

Washing machines and dryers are available in the shared basement for an additional fee.

For your maximum security, public areas are video-monitored (front entrance, staircase, as well as the backyard and its access point).
