Lakefront Retreat on Donner Lake



Bring the whole family to experience the beauty of Donner Lake at this stunning lakefront retreat. From vaulted redwood ceilings and walls of natural light to a spacious deck and private dock, this home is designed for relaxation inside and out. Nearly every room offers breathtaking views of the lake. Cozy evenings can be spent in the living area with a good book and a fire in the wood-burning brick fireplace (firewood not provided).



In summer, gather on the deck or enjoy the private dock for swimming, fishing, boating, or simply dipping your toes in the water. After a day of adventure, unwind in the hot tub as the sun sets and the Sierra peaks fade to purple.



In winter, the surrounding mountains transform into a snowy playground with world-class resorts nearby, including Sugar Bowl, Donner Ski Ranch, Tahoe-Donner, and Boreal. Year-round, Truckee’s charming downtown offers shopping, dining, and local nightlife just minutes away.

Amazing house on the lake!

This house had enough room for 3 generations of family. The dock is huge and accommodated all of our lake sport toys. The lake water was cold but the hot tub fixed that problem. The views out the window were amazing and it’s close enough to the beach to kayak or paddle board to.

Breathtaking views

The house was very clean and had amazing views of the lake. We went in the winter season but want to go back in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Spectacular lake house

The house is so spacious and welcoming and the views of the lake are unparalleled. The deck off the living room is beautiful and the deck down at the water is a fabulous bonus. We’ve already booked a return visit.

Beautiful Location!

Great Place - beautiful location. Roads are icy so make sure you have 4x4 in winter! Staff was helpful and got the hot tub running right away. Home has lots of thermostats so have fun figuring out which one is which ;)

Great adventure

Great house and property. Loved the place. The only suggestion is to get some pans appropriate for cooking for a group- only 2 very small pans and not enough forks. Otherwise, wonderful stay!

Everything a Lake House should be

Wonderful stay with adult children and father in law. Lots of room. Well stocked. Best views on the lake. Appreciate using the kayaks and paddle board. Thank you for the memories

This home is the best location. Easy access and great views of Donner Lake. The room layout is perfect for a group of friends. The fireplace is awesome and easy to start. It's got a big table with great lighting for jigsaw puzzles or cards. The kitchen is fairly well stocked. Nice to have 3 full baths as well. Almost every room has a lake view.

beautiful cabin on the lake

We enjoyed our stay at this large home right on Lake Truckee. We appreciated the home was very spacious and while there was only two of us there it could easily accomodate 10+. There is a bunch of ski resorts in the area, we went to palisdes tahoe which was an easy 25 minute drive and one of the best resorts in tahoe. We would definitely recommend this home to others for a winter stay! (probably great in the warmer weather as well)

House was great - location and views over the lake were as wonderful as promoted. We really liked the house and were comfortable and happy; only suggestions would be to ensure the heat is on when arriving (it was freezing in the house!), and the kitchen utensils and general supplies need upgrading.

Loved our time on Donner Lake

House was as advertised., clean and great location. Very spacious for our group 8 adults. Private dock was great. House had all the basic cooking equipment - even had a waffle maker. Small issue with ellectrical on main floor- having living room and dining room lights on at same time kept tripping the breaker. Would definitely book this house again!
