Tucked back on Gold Dust Trail, and hedged by miles of forest land, you'll find your ideal 3BR/3BA mountain getaway. This two-story home boasts 2,700 square-feet of living space with hardwood floors, vaulted wood ceilings, and tasteful furnishings.



Enjoy ultimate privacy from your spacious deck. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate a location with close proximity to the lake, nature trails, and Heavenly.



Explore the outdoors with hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and biking right out your door. You're minutes from Heavenly and a plethora of Stateline casinos. Drive 10 minutes to Lake Tahoe. Grab snacks at Lira's Supermarket or check out a variety of nearby restaurants.



LIVING AREA



Kick back on two sofas and an armchair in the living room for a movie on a 48-inch TV with cable. Unwind in the bonus space with an armchair, sleeper sofa, and sofa. Peruse the board games and gather for game night, practice your skills at the foosball table, or long on to your favorite apps on the Roku TV .



KITCHEN & DINING



The well-equipped kitchen boasts stainless steel appliances, a four-person breakfast bar, a pantry, and a butcher block island. Gather for meals at the six-person dining table.



BED & BATH



The primary suite boasts a king bed, 36-inch TV, and oversized walk-in closet. The en-suite features a double vanity, walk-in shower, and a jetted tub. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a closet. And the second bath is configured with a tub/shower combination. A twin-over-twin bunk bed and full-size bed are found in the third bedroom, as well as a closet. The third bath has a tub/shower combination.



OUTDOOR AREA & AMENITIES



Sliding glass doors open to the deck offering tranquil forest views. The private backyard is perfect for yard games. Unwind on the deck with a beverage.

We loved our stay here while in the Lake Tahoe area, easy to reach from town and the perfect place to hangout after the day. Also appreciated the large kitchen with plenty of appliances and open fridge to stock for our short trip. Would visit again!

Loved this home, would stay here again!

Absolutely loved staying here with my family. Home was a great size, very spacious, great layout, very clean, perfect for hanging out and relaxing. Beautiful backyard that was full of trees, felt so peaceful here. Absolutely recommend!

Lake Tahoe Getaway

This house was better than expected. Only several minutes from the lake, it was located just minutes from some great coffee shops, markets, and restaurants. Also, it was just a short drive to hiking with some great views and kayaking on Emerald Bay. The house had PLENTY of room and parking and a kitchen with everything you'd need to making meals. The deck in the back of the house is a great spot for hanging out or enjoying some natural forest beauty. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location, relaxing and Spacious, lovely home!

The property is located within 10 minutes of south lake tahoe downtown. It's quiet and spacious. Rooms are located strategically to give you privacy and furniture is in good shape. The only thing I will add is a recycling bin (trah). The game room was great for the kids! Thank you.

Great Views!

The house was perfect for our family of 6. We all slept comfortable and it was spacious enough for all of us. The kitchen had everything we needed. The WiFi was a little slow, but we were out most of the day so it didn’t bother us at all. The property was really close to town , maybe like 10 minutes from all the activities that we did. Late checkout was offered , but we didn’t need it! Overall we had a great stay!

Family Vacation

House was large and comfortable, game room with Wii was a plus. Wish there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms, the rooms tended to get warm. Bathrooms and Kitchens were functional. We got spoiled at our rental in Homewood, the house had everything we needed and more. We would have preferred a bit more isolated, the neighbor house is very close.

Gold Dust - Good Place For A Getaway

The property was very nice. The neighbors were nice too. Far enough away so that it's more private, but close enough to activities. We thought that it could have been cleaner (ie white bath rugs. white doors), fresh smelling bedding. We wanted to hike in the forest behind the house which was a top selling point, but we had a visit from a bear and decided not to take a chance. Overall, we would rent it again.

Beautil and spacious home, pictures do not do justice

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It was extremely spacious with more than enough room for 6 people. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook meals for your entire family. The home was spotless and we walked in to some tranquil music left for us upon entering. I can't even put into words how beautiful the view was from the upstairs deck. We spent our early mornings and evenings just enjoying our view. Each bathroom was fully stocked with essentials and loved that the TV's had a roku. I can't wait to come back with my family next year.

Great place to stay

6 of my buddies and stayed at this lovely place for few days. The place was spacious and clean with enough real beds for everyone to sleep in. Also there were plenty of towels and everything need to cook in the kitchen. We did have trouble getting any working channels on TV upstairs in the main kitchen area and by the time someone replied to our complaint, we had already made other plans. Not a big deal but would have been nice to have a TV with working channels. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a good place and location to stay in.

Good for family or group stay

Loved the open layout of the house and plenty of seating (and TV’s), comfy King bed; cute decor and good kitchen amenities; nice quiet neighborhood and lots of surrounding trees for that forest-y out-of-town feel; appreciated the garage and automatic opener to use while there. Disappointed with the scratchy TP; none of the outlets in any of the three bathrooms worked; warped flooring by back sliding door and screen door wasn’t secured on their rails; foosball table is falling apart so we didn’t use. Be aware that Roku is only option so no local channels. Good communication with property managers. Super easy checkout procedures.

Do not stay here if there is any potential bad weather that can cause a power outage

The house lost power during a storm that resulted in an areawide power outage. The house had no power backup, and no source of heat as the house had no lighters to light the gas stove. We eventually borrowed a lighter from the neighbors since the roads were covered in a foot of snow so we could not drive. We had a reservation for 5 nights, and left 1 day early as soon as the roads were drivable since there was no power. We asked for a refund for the 1 night we could not stay and the 2 nights without power, and were refused any refund or compensation. Storms in Tahoe area in winter are fairly common, so strongly recommend you do not stay here in the winter.

Guests that did choose to keep their reservations did so at their own risk. Everyone in the area was without power, including residents, for several days, and it was completely outside of our control. Nice house with a couple issues

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed for three nights in July. House does not have AC so was very warm throughout the day (my fault for not seeing that prior to booking). Upon check in we had to immediately go to the store. There was two rolls of toilet paper for three bathrooms and no extra garbage bags. The first night we had several bugs in our bedroom (which was the master). After killing about 7 beetle looking bugs we didn’t have this issue after the first night. The only other complaint would be the amount of stairs, which after renting several houses in Tahoe I know is common. Overall the stay was very nice and the house could accommodate more than eight easily. Not too sure why they only allow eight.

Regarding the supplies you mention, please know that we stock each home with what is called a "starter supply" of basic items. It is not designed to be an unlimited supply but, rather, to folks started so that they can enjoy their arrival days, take inventory, and pick up whatever else is needed to get them through their trip as needed. Prior to each stay, we stock dish soap, laundry detergent, a roll of paper towels, toilet paper, a dish brush to wash dishes, a few trash bags, dishwasher detergent, bar soap, and the standard bathroom amenities you might find in a hotel. Fantastic property, hope to come back again soon!

This property is an ideal place to stay when visiting South Lake Tahoe. We really hope to come back here again as soon as possible and I can’t recommend it enough! However if I had to be a critic for a few things here and there I would say that there were a few problems with the following: 1. The upstairs toilet did not work properly and was unusable the entire stay. 2. The Wi-Fi would not work even after multiple router reboots. 3. The Cable TV strangely has a very limited number of actual channels available, seemed unusual. 4. Many rental properties provide K-cups for their Keurig coffee machines, would’ve been nice to have a few coffees stocked at the cabin for in the mornings. All in all the cabin is a fantastic place and we look forward to returning! And the Turnkey liaison we dealt with for the toilet issue was very quick to respond and extremely helpful. Thank you! :)

Great house

We stayed over for a week. The house is conveniently located, clean, spacious and comfortable, with tons of board games for the kids. It was beautiful to see all those beautiful trees in the back. Also, the light incline on back of the house provides a fantastic spot for sledding. Would recommend and would come back.

Great space and location. Good couches and water pressure.

Overall was great. Just a few recommendations. Bed on main level was too hard and needs replaced. Kitchen should have dish towels, common seasoning (salt, pepper, garlic and some cooking oil) and hot pads.

Solid Home in a nice area with some pesky issues

The house is spacious and has everything which is described in the ad. The location is good, the neighborhood is quite and within a 10 minute ride you will be in South Lake Tahoe downtown. The Kitchen has a good fridge, some good pots and also 2 or 3 usable knives. But you should know, that there are absolutely no pantry items provided, not even salt or sugar. There are also no foils or ziplocs or whatever, so you should bring your own. Most annoyingly for us was the absence of kitchen towels. There is Dishwasher detergent for one cleaning per day. The BBQ hasn’t been cleaned in aeons, it was so dirty that I almost threw up. Around the BBQ lay half a dozend dead roaches but I am not complaining about the roaches, I am aware that they are part of our ecosystem, I am complaining about the gross BBQ which of course attracts cockroaches to come into the house. I told vacasa about this problem and they said, that they will send someone to clean the BBQ but no-one came. The cleanliness inside of the house was good though. Some of the beds where squeaky , and the mattress in the MBR was pretty much worn out. From the windows in the house you can watch the wildlife in the woods, which is great.

Mountain retreat - not too far from town.

Roomy and quiet retreat. Short drive to downtown. Adjacent to a beautiful forest. Easy to find. Great living space. Highly recommend.
