The Space:

Relax in a home with enough cabin touches to make you feel like you're running off to the woods! You will love the view of the forest from the backyard and throughout the home - it's perfect for a getaway where you still want to feel connected. Enjoy a soak in the private hot tub and an amazing view of the stars at night. Inside, light up a fire in the wood-burning fireplace and bask in the cabin-inspired atmosphere. If it's sunny outside, just relax in the central air-conditioning. The lovely kitchen features stone countertops, full-size appliances, and an extra-large fridge all just a quick walk to the deck. Younger guests will love playing in the upstairs loft which has shelves full of children's toys and books plus a TV. But every room has a lovely view of the woods, and you'll never be too far from the backyard's wraparound deck. You will also be within easy walking distance to many of the Black Butte amenities, which include the shared pool, sauna, tennis court, and basketball court.

The house was great. The interior was clean, but we had to clean thick layers of needles off the front steps and back tables. The spare propane tank was empty. The jacuzzi was dirty and we had to call for service, so we could use it for the first two days. Also, there were no extra towels and no coffee grinder.

Please know that the needles will be cleaned up after they thaw from the snow and ice on the frozen ground. A brand new coffee grinder was put in the house, and the hot tub has been serviced and is in excellent condition for our guests. The towels were restocked to appropriate levels as well. We value your insights as they help us understand the guest experience better, and we hope to have the opportunity to impress you on a future stay.

Birthday celebration

Awesome property! Perfect house for our family celebration! Layout is wonderful as everyone had their own space, there were 5 adults and 2 small children. Unbelievable array of children’s toys…..made life so much easier. Beautiful setting with view of the forest.

Great Golf Group Property!

While not on a course, this home had everything needed and more for our group of 8 golfers. The setting was quiet as the home backs up to forest land. House was styled well, hot tub and outdoor living space was perfect.

Spacious, quiet escape in the woods

There's lots of space, bedrooms and baths, in different parts of the home. Kitchen was very well equipped. There's a great view of the woods all around, with wild turkeys in back.

Beautiful. Quiet. Private.

Beautiful, ckean home with lots of windows, super comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen with an unbelievable coffee station, and multiple outdoor benchs, tables and chairs to enjoy the wooded back yard. The hot tub was a nice amenity too. Definitely a well-cared for house. It was perfect for our group of 6 friends to spend a few days together.

So spacious and Beautiful!

This listing is absolutely incredible -- even with 8 guests, it felt like we had ample room to spread out and feel comfortable during our stay. We played golf at one of the nearby courses, and enjoyed capping each day off with a dip in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked with all of the essentials, and I loved how this property backs up against the forest. I'm already planning another trip back with my family. Don't hesitate to book this gorgeous escape!

Perfect setup for large family/entertaining

The setup was amazing -- rent this place for the kitchen/dining/living room setup! It was perfect for entertaining and having family gatherings. Very conducive to conversation. Please note the room that is most separated (upstairs, largest room with bathroom, technically the master) has a smaller bed (full?). The only king-size bed is downstairs, grouped with the other bedrooms.

Amazing house

Wonderful property in a great, private location. Amazing fireplace. The bunkbeds in the bunk room were a little wobbly, but just need some tightening. Other than that great property would highly recommend loved having the private backyard that leads out to the forest. Great views, wonderful privacy. Great property for families, so many toys for the kids to play with.

The home is prime location and is so open, airy and inviting. This would be great for multiple families. We had a great time. Just needs a little extra time taken on the cleaning. Real dusty and we found someone’s old food in the fridge when we arrived.

Everything we hoped for

Large family friendly house that is well equipped. Everything worked. Very clean. The layout of bedrooms allows for some separation from the rest of the house. We were all able to take a break in our rooms and we all slept well. Great fireplace. Great views.There were no sleds available for the kids. Recent snow covered up items in the yard, so wasn’t sure if there we any snow toys buried.

Great House & Private Getaway

We had a great stay! House is at the edge of the Black Butte property so very private. Great layout, comfortable beds, clean, & large hot tub. Kitchen well stocked. We had 2 issues that could easily be resolved. 1) The house was set to 55 degrees & took almost the whole 1st night to come up to temp. We made a fire in the beautiful living room so was ok. 2) I asked for a late check out because my group sleeps late & was daylight savings- never heard back from management until scolded that we were late.

Clean, stocked and ready

GM 428 was in great shape. The vacasa management is hard to work with. I tried half a dozen times to get a straight answer on checking in early and out late and their style of management is to give you automated responses from half a dozen staff members. All I needed was one phone call, with a real person for 5 minutes. So house great. Management was meh.

No Late Checkout

I requested a late checkout when I booked the house. I was assured that I would receive notification about my checkout time. However, after spending a significant amount of time arguing with customer service on my last day, I was informed that no house in Black Butte offers a late checkout checkout.

Beautiful home, but unimpressed with communication

The house was fantastic and had everything we needed for our stay. Comfortable beds, huge living room, dining room, and outdoor space. The house is located at the other end of Black Butte Ranch from the main entrance, meaning it was a 15 min drive to get from the house to the main road, and then 15 min to get into Sisters (30 min total). The listing is managed by Vacasa and so communication is difficult. Because Black Butte Ranch is a private community, in addition to the VRBO fee, we also had to pay $9/person/day to enter the property, which was not communicated to us up front, so it was a disappointment in incur an extra $200+ charge for our entire party.

Secluded with everything you'll need

Wonderful property!! However, it is way in the back of the resort, which might be it's only weak point; it can take 12 to 15 minutes to get to the entrance of BB Ranch. That said, it is quite secluded with spacious surroundings. This home is graciously large and will easily accommodate a family reunion for four couples (4 bedrooms) and four kids (a fifth bedroom). We had seven adults and one baby... and a dog. You will not need to bring anything from your own kitchen; it's fully equipped! The garage is full of bicycles, swimming pool accessories, camping chairs, games, toys and a really nice ping pong table (which we had fun playing). There's even a free-standing basketball hoop. In addition, they have a very nice child carrier backpack; the owners really thought this through. I could say more, but my family kept telling me I could not have found a more perfect home. On a personal note, this visit was intended more as a fly-fishing trip to the Metolius River, but we thoroughly enjoyed the time at BB Ranch, and had a wonderful family dinner at the beautiful Lodge restaurant.

Amazing house with all the amenities - wish the property manager had better customer service

The house and amenities exceeded our expectations - the pictures don't do it justice. We loved the secluded location backing up to the forest, the well-stocked kitchen, all of the kid's toys, games, bikes, and even children's plates/utensils and a closet full of baby equipment. It was a great layout for the 4 families staying to spread out and have their space. We would have given this property 5 stars if it wasn't for the property management, which could have had better customer service. We were disappointed that after a day and a half, we ran out of dishwasher pods (the house was supplied with 4 when we arrived, and in a house with 13 people, you can imagine we had to run the dishwasher twice a day), paper towels, and were down to our last 2 rolls of toilet paper. When we called Vacasa to request more of these basic items, we were told that they do not supply refills on amenities and we needed to go purchase our own. We were disappointed, to say the least, that after paying so much to stay at a high-end home, we were on our own to go out and buy dishwasher soap, paper towels and toilet paper - all very basic necessities.
