We had the best stay at the Blue Moon Hotel. It's a historic site, and it had such a great atmosphere - the building and decor gave the feel of old New York but with modern comforts in our room. We had several windows and a balcony, with some of the most incredible views of the city. The staff was great, especially at the front desk. Texting with them was helpful if we needed something. Bram, Cane, Nani, Toran, and others were always very friendly. The location is also perfect for visits to NYC - tons of restaurants, shops, etc, and very close to several subway stations and bus stops. A few things to know, to set expectations:1. On-demand housekeeping: each morning, you get a text and let them know what housekeeping things you need for the day and when - changing towels, making the bed, extra items. If you want regular housekeeping daily, just let them know. 2. There is only 1 elevator and it is both beautiful and slow. The amazing thing is that there is a bench inside and it's even better than you think.3. There are just a few staff. They are attentive, but requests may take a little longer, especially if they are helping other guests.4. This hotel is in a bustling neighborhood. If you're looking for perfectly quiet evenings, this is not the right neighborhood for you (it's NYC!). Also, there is a club next door. If you are there one a weekend, you'll definitely hear them. All in all, a fantastic stay, and I would book a room here again.
