Welcome to the Bernese Oberland, in a cozy chalet with the character of an old alpine hut, offering adequate comfort, built in 1905 in Tschingel, Sigriswil.
The chalet holiday home is located in a quiet area on Lake Thun and offers a direct view of Lake Thun and the stunning Alpine panorama, including the Mönch at 4110m, the Jungfrau at 4158m, and the Niesen at 2362m. It is the perfect retreat for nature lovers and anyone looking to escape daily life.

The house has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower and bathtub. It also features a large living room with a wood-burning stove and a kitchen. There is both a covered and an uncovered outdoor seating area.

Arrival by public transport, STI
The bus stop Förstner - Kehr is about 350m away and is served by line 24. Line 24 goes to Oberhofen, where you have the option to take line 21 to Interlaken or to Thun.
You can drive to Sigriswil by car, from there take line 25 to Thun or transfer in Gunten and go to Interlaken. https://www.stibus.ch/fahrplaene/fahrplan2026/linie-24.php
The Thunersee PanoramaCard will be issued to you, which also allows you to use the local public transport for free.

The next shopping options (butcher, restaurants, cheese shop, vegetable and flower shop, drugstore - post office, stationery, grocery store, and a small playground next door) are in Sigriswil. Beautiful surroundings: The area around the chalet offers a wealth of leisure opportunities: hiking, cycling, swimming, and skiing in winter – everything is right on your doorstep. Enjoy the fresh air and the tranquility of nature as you relax in your holiday haven. Ideally located near the house is the small Schwanden ski area above Sigriswil (recommended for beginner and intermediate skiers), which is a 5-minute drive away. The Jungfrau ski region in Grindelwald/Lauterbrunnen is 31 km away, and Interlaken can be reached after 22 km. Unique location: Experience the beauty of the picturesque mountain and lake scenery of the Bernese Oberland, nestled in a green setting that promises peace and relaxation.
The view from as well as of the entire pre-Alpine range is simply breathtaking and offers an unparalleled open view of the lake, making every day a special experience.

Wonderful home to stay in.

The house was beautiful, very well stocked and equipped, and in a great location. We would stay here again. Klara was a wonderful host. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great! We couldn’t have imagined a more beautiful view of Lake Thun and the mountains.

Beautiful setting overlooking the lake although 25 mins by car to Interlaken station, gateway to the Jungfrau area but reflected in the price for the week. Straightforward accommodation and spacious. Good shower (essential) Could do with more electrical sockets. Very much enjoyed the week.

Great vacation house

It was a really nice property with an amazing view of the lake. Klara was an amazing host and was able to accommodate me and my friends very well. The driveway is quite steep but we were able to get used to parking there quite well! If I get the chance I would rent from her and this property again

Anniversary Trip Getaway!

Klara was a very hospitable host! She was so welcoming, shared a lot of different information about the area and the best things to do. The view from the rental home is breathtaking and the best part about the house. It was so nice to open the windows and have an incredible view of Lake Thun. Some of our favorite suspects about the home were the wood fireplace that was so cozy to light at night. also, we love to open the windows in the front and bathroom to hear the cow bells during the day. This really made for a wonderful Switzerland experience.! We would love to stay at this rural vacation home again! 100% recommend to stay here, Thank you Klara!

Winter dream house

I don’t know where to begin- everything about our stay was absolutely AMAZING! We were greeted by Klara and her son. They had the fire place started and house warmed up, which was perfect since we had our two toddlers with us. The view from the dining area and top balcony is breathtaking. We couldn’t stop looking out the whole time of our stay. Our girls were able to enjoy some snow play while we were on the property, the home has plenty of toys, and puzzles for children, and we did some adventures around the area. The property is clean and had everything you need to make your stay accommodating. I hope to come back to this house in the future. I highly recommend this host and her beautiful home to everyone!

Charming old Chalet in the mountains with Breathtaking Views and Cozy Comfort

I recently stayed at a charming old chalet for 3 nights, and the experience was nothing short of wonderful. Located near the top of the mountain, the chalet boasted mesmerizing panoramic views of Thunersee and the Alpine mountain range. Waking up to such a breathtaking landscape each morning was a real highlight. The chalet itself was spacious and cozy, with a large living room on the ground floor centered around a rustic fireplace—perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The upstairs bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, adding to the overall peacefulness of the stay. Our host, Klara, was incredibly welcoming and was just a phone call away if we needed anything. Her warmth and hospitality made the experience even more enjoyable. One minor drawback was the parking spot—it was a bit tight, so large vehicles might find it difficult. But if you're driving a mid-sized car, it shouldn’t be an issue. Overall, it was a perfect mountain escape, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing retreat with stunning views.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans la location de Klara. Le logement est très bien équipé, il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour se sentir vraiment bien, dans un confort optimal. La localisation du logement permet de belles randonnées. La vue sur le lac est magnifique, l'environnement est calme et Klara est une hôte très accueillante et qui a eu à coeur de partager ses conseils sur cette très belle région de la Suisse. Klara est une hôte comme on aimerait toujours en rencontrer. Nous espérons pouvoir revenir !

Familienfreundliches Chalet mit einmaliger Aussicht

Wir waren als Familie mit 2 Jungs im Alter von 3 und 6 Jahren für eine Woche in diesem wunderschönen Chalet mit einem atemberaubenden Ausblick. Selbst beim Aufstehen wurden wir schon von diesem Panorama begrüßt. Das Chalet ist bestens für eine Familie ausgestattet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Schönste Aussicht ever

Egal ob Gewitter, Regen oder Sonne, wir haben unsere Abende auf der Laube ( grosser Balkon aus Holz durch Dach geschützt) verbracht und die wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Thunersee und die Berge genossen. Wohnung sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat wirklich alles, was man braucht. Sehr angenehme und liebenswürdige Gastgeberin! Herzlichen Dank!

Très belle vue sur le lac

Logement très spacieux, bien agencé, bien équipé offrant une vue plongeante magnifique sur le lac et les montagnes. Arrêt de bus très pratique à 5 minutes à pied et gratuit avec le logement. Hote très gentille et très disponible. Correspond parfaitement à ce que nous étions venu chercher: calme et paisible tout en restant proche des villes. Des vacances inoubliables !!
