Spectacular and ecological tiny house by the sea designed by Architect Alberto Kalach in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. A garden in front of the sea to disconnect from the world and admire nature.
Perfect for nature-lovers looking to enjoy as a couple, family or with friends.
Nearby one can visit Casa Wabi and Laguna de Manialtepec.
The one bedroom Villa, just a few steps from the Pacific Ocean, has a spectacular view, equipped with a full kitchen, bathroom and shower al fresco and a private Pool. The cabin is a wooden box mounted on a platform slightly separated from the sand, at almost a meter above ground level, its sliding doors of palm wood open completely to allow the breeze to run freely and enjoy a spectacular 360 degree view of the ocean and the surrounding vegetation. It is an ideal place to rest, practice yoga and meditation, admire the birds and the beautiful nature that surrounds them. The long, almost private beach is perfect for walks, at the western end you can practice rock climbing and fishing, at the other end the Manialtepec Lagoon joins the sea. On the way to the lagoon you can visit the hotel Escondido and Casa Wabi. Casa Arena has a private pool with sundeck. Free Wifi but the space is really meant for people who want to disconnect and live an ecological and natural experience. Far from "glamping", the idea is for it to feel like a wrecked wooden barge, abandoned and disconnected from civilisation. Lights are dim, internet unstable, showers are warm (not hot), and there's no air conditioning because the breeze naturally flows through the house. The house is open to nature but also to the tempest that comes with it. Especially during rain season (July-September) this is a place for adventurous souls, for pirates, sailors, mermaids and water nymphs that don't fear getting wet or encountering all kinds of wild life but rather enjoy being outside and feel the storm.
Casa Wabi can be visited during the scheduled visiting hours or with prior notice. The scheduled visiting hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 pm, and Saturdays at 10:00 am.
It is very important to remove your shoes before entering the house. Use eco-friendly sunscreens and cleaning products. Store all food properly to avoid attracting mosquitoes, ants, and other local animals. Trash must be separated and kept in closed containers.
