The Space:

Walkable to local coffee shops, restaurants and unique shopping. There are a variety of restaurants, pubs, breweries, bike shops, and a convenience store within 5 blocks of the home. Just across the famous St Johns bridge is Forest Park, with miles of single track running, hiking and mtn biking trails. Walk or bike to Downtown St Johns, Cathedral Park, 10 min. to Downtown Portland & Pearl District. 20 min to PDX. This NEW backyard guesthouse was designed with guest comfort in mind. Modern finishes and upgrades offer style and comfort in this cozy space 548 ft.² featuring 1 Queen bed / 1 sofa bed / 1.5 baths. Sleeps up to 4. Kitchenette, Washer/Dryer, Electric Fireplace. FREE Parking, Wifi. You may bring your well behaved pre-approved dog w/a $50 fee.

LIVING AREA: Cozy up to the fireplace in the living area, with big windows and vaulted ceilings to enjoy the view of Forest Park and a Peek-a-boo view of the St Johns bridge. This area is very light and bright even on those rainy days. The room feature a comfortable couch and converts to a Twin or King size sleeper. Flat screen SMART TV with apps for streaming, make for a great night of lounging. Catch up on your favorite Netflix series or watch a movie or enjoy a game of cards. KITCHENETTE: There is also a very large peninsula that serves as a great prep space for meals and also makes for a great working space if traveling for remote work. Fully stocked kitchenette, PORTABLE COOKTOP, and everything you need to create a small meal, ample quartz countertop space for the toaster, electric skillet, crockpot, toaster oven/air fryer/convection oven and microwave. Everything you need to feel at home, and prepare a small delicious meal. Large stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher & coffee maker. Plenty of spices, Utensils and cookware to make eating in simple and efficient. Large solid quartz surface peninsula with comfy barstools that seat (2) with TV trays enough for an additional (2) people. The BEDROOM features a Queen size memory foam mattress with comfortable, crisp cotton sheets and 4 pillows. Relax in bed awhile and read a good book, there are 2 wall lights that adjust both lighting type and angle, the room is compact and comfortable. If you like a dark room pull down the blackout shade. There is closet space for hanging clothes, and storing personal items, luggage rack and a standard size stackable high efficiency washer & dryer, portable fan, clothes steamer all located in the closet for guest use. We also provide a small amount of laundry detergent for your convenience. BATHROOM including a TILE SHOWER w/glass doors, and high quality towels and linens. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, basic essentials and paper products are provided for your convenience. A hair dryer to complete the necessities!

Guests have access to the walkway on the side of the house and the entire private guesthouse and backyard

Nestled in the heart of the historic Cathedral Park area in Portland’s beloved St. Johns neighborhood—known locally as “NoPo”—this home offers the perfect blend of charm, character, and convenience. St. Johns is a true local favorite, where you can experience the authentic heart and soul of one of Portland’s most vibrant communities.

Ideally located, you’ll find yourself surrounded by some of the city’s best natural and urban attractions. The Willamette River and Forest Park lie just to the west, while downtown Portland is a quick drive to the south—putting you right in the center of it all.

St. Johns is known for its walkable, small-town feel, with a lively town center full of cozy coffee shops, local restaurants, breweries, pubs, movie theatres and unique boutiques. Within just a few blocks, you’ll also find sweet treats like ice cream and candy shops, as well as bike shops and everyday conveniences.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love being just across the iconic St. Johns Bridge from Forest Park, one of the largest urban forests in the country, offering miles of scenic trails for walking, running, and mountain biking. The trail system connects all the way to Northwest Portland and Washington Park, home to some of the city’s most popular attractions.

The neighborhood is rich in history and community spirit, with seasonal events like the weekly Saturday Market and a lively Farmers Market during the warmer months. Getting Around:

Getting around St. Johns is easy and convenient. The home is just a few blocks from the University of Portland and about a 10-minute drive to Vibrant Downtown area of Vancouver Washington just over the Interstate Bridge, NE Portland Alberta Arts area and NW Portland, including the popular NW 23rd Avenue and Pearl District. Downtown Portland and Sauvie Island are both less than 15 minutes away, while PDX Airport and Vancouver, Washington are about a 20-minute drive.

The neighborhood is highly walkable and bike-friendly, making it easy to explore local shops, restaurants, and parks without a car. For those who prefer not to drive, rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are readily available, and there’s a bus stop just a block away.

You may find you don’t need to leave the neighborhood at all—St. Johns offers plenty to see and do right outside your door. If you do venture further, Portland’s public transit system, including TriMet buses, the streetcar, and MAX light rail, provides easy access to the greater metro area.



Other Things to Note:

~You may be required to provide a photo of your Drivers License or Government ID directly to the host. This is for the safety and security of both guests & property Owners, and will be requested at the discretion of Stay in My District.

~ No additional guests and visitors/guests that are not registered on the reservation booking are allowed to be on the property after 10pm.

~ NO SMOKING anywhere on premises. This includes Outside. Smoking anywhere on the property will result in forfeiture of your entire deposit plus can result in additional fees up to $500 for smoke removal.

~ An additional housekeeping fee is required on all stays over 14 nights.

~ We do welcome 1 pre-approved dog up to 35 lbs w/a $50 pet fee



Interaction with Guests:

Your host is available by phone, text, or email. Please do not reach out to the resident of the main house as they wish their privacy. Feel free however in the case of emergency. We also want to give you plenty of privacy.
