When you step into the newly renovated first floor, you’ll find yourself right in the light-filled dining room with a panoramic view of the Schlei. No matter where you look, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of the Schlei.
The nautical style of the apartment extends throughout all the rooms and gives this vacation rental its very special charm. All rooms are furnished with great attention to detail and high-quality furniture.


The 110-square-meter historic building is divided into four particularly bright, inviting rooms. The dining room, with its rustic dining table, sets the tone for your vacation on the Schlei. Two historic double doors allow you to separate the rooms or maintain an open-concept living space.

To the right of the dining room is the large bedroom with a double bed; here, too, the panoramic view of the Schlei stretches across the entire room, and you’ll wake up in the morning to a view of the Baltic Sea fjord.
Adjacent to the bedroom is the spacious, naturally lit bathroom with a shower, bathtub, toilet, and sink. Here, too, the apartment’s nautical industrial style is evident, and it also offers the luxury of a washing machine and a heated towel rack.

Returning to the dining room, on the left is the heart of the apartment: the living room. During the day, this spacious room offers wonderful spots for reading, writing, socializing, and enjoying coffee and tea, and in the evening, it transforms into a captain’s lounge with a fireplace.
While the view of the Schlei remains the same, the natural light changes the room’s charm. Anyone who hasn’t felt like a seasoned sailor by now will certainly do so by this point. With a glass of wine in hand or a bottle of rum on the table, cozy evenings by the open fire are practically inevitable.
As you continue through the apartment, you’ll pass through the kitchen entryway—complete with a refrigerator and coffee lounge—and enter the kitchen, where you’ll find everything to delight the heart of an amateur chef, as well as a small balcony with fresh herbs to enhance your meals and drinks.

This is also where you’ll find the second bathroom with a toilet and sink, which also has natural light.

On this side of the apartment, you’ll also find the smaller bedroom with two single beds and a walk-in closet. The window in this room faces the rear courtyard, making it very quiet.


The First Floor is a special property that stands out for its lovingly designed, unique, and high-quality furnishings and its incredible panoramic view; you could hardly live any closer to the Schlei, separated only by a (unfortunately very busy) street.

Our “First Floor” vacation rental occupies the entire first floor of the former Dehn Villa, right on the Schlei and in the immediate vicinity of the city.
The Dehn Villa has been part of Schleswig’s cityscape since 1903. At that time, the Dehn family operated a freight forwarding business on the property. Horse stables and a coachmen’s inn were integral parts of the spacious property. The entrepreneurial family lived in the villa itself.
Today, the first floor houses the real estate company of the owner, Nicole Erdmann, as well as two large apartments on the upper two floors.
The villa is separated from the Schlei by only a single street, so the first floor offers an incredible panoramic view of the water. Since most rooms face the front, every spot in the apartment becomes an absolute favorite spot with a vacation-like view.
