We chose the Jalan Nelayan area because, after living in Bali for years, we truly believe it is one of the best locations in Canggu. It has a very special balance that is becoming harder and harder to find — you are in the middle of everything, yet life still feels slower, softer, and more connected to Bali.

The atmosphere here is unique. In the mornings, people walk to cafés with surfboards under their arms, scooters move slowly through little streets lined with tropical plants, and the smell of coffee and fresh pastries comes from nearby bakeries. You can start your day with breakfast at a beautiful café, take a short ride to the beach for sunset surfing, join a yoga class, or simply wander through the small streets discovering boutiques and hidden corners.

At the same time, Jalan Nelayan still has peaceful little lanes and pockets of greenery that remind us of the older Canggu before it became so busy. That is exactly why we fell in love with this area. You can feel both the energy and creativity of Canggu, while still being able to come home to silence, tropical gardens, and calm evenings.

The location also connects Berawa and Batu Bolong perfectly, so guests can easily enjoy both sides of Canggu without spending their holiday stuck in traffic. Everything feels accessible here — cafés, beach clubs, restaurants, gyms, yoga studios, bakeries, small local warungs, and of course the beach itself.

For us, this part of Bali represents the lifestyle many people come here searching for: barefoot mornings, sunset evenings, great food, tropical air, relaxed energy, and a feeling that life naturally slows down a little.

The house is built in a traditional Indonesian joglo style with beautiful wooden architecture that creates a cozy and authentic atmosphere that is becoming harder to find in modern Bali. Sunlight moves beautifully through the wooden interiors during the day, while evenings feel calm, warm, and intimate.
