A quiet, rural location with comfortable, modern furnishings. The holiday apartment is located on a south-facing slope. Behind the apartment is Maxen Castle with its vineyards, and opposite is the former rectory and a horse farm.

Maxen is located at an altitude of 330 m and is the gateway to the Eastern Ore Mountains. The parish village is situated on a high plateau between the Lockwitz and Müglitz valleys, about 18 km southeast of the city center of Dresden and about 4 km from Kreischa.
