The Space:

Experience lakefront living at its best! Follow the charming stone path from the beautifully manicured lawn to the dock and launch the provided kayaks and paddleboards for fun-filled days on the water. A lake-view patio with alfresco dining seating, loungers, and a grill provides a pretty spot to sip morning coffee or cook out. You'll enjoy a main house with two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, plus a sleeping loft. Inside your retreat, soaring ceilings, exposed beams, stone accents, and wood floors create a rustic-chic lodge vibe, while large windows showcase beautiful lake views. Unwind and watch a movie in the living area or break out the provided board games for some good old-fashioned fun. Detailed with a stylish green tile backsplash and a full suite of stainless steel appliances, the well-equipped kitchen makes it easy to prepare meals for your entire group. The adjacent stone cottage offers two additional sleeping areas, a dining area, and a wet bar. Enjoy pretty lake views while spending time together on the cozy screened porch, outfitted with twinkling patio lights. This outdoor space includes a heat lamp, alfresco dining, and ample seating. You’ll also find a firepit in the yard - perfect for conversations under the stars. Great family getaway

Adjoining guest house really helps with privacy and any noise issues. Screened porch provides excellent gathering and fun spot for all. Would definitely stay again - quiet area, great swimming area and close to many sites.

This place is truly paradise!

I had friends visiting from California and Montana and wanted to show off Michigan's beautiful lakes and the Sleeping Bear Dunes. The house was perfect in every way with a beautiful porch and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Platte Lake is charming with great access to dining, Lake Michigan, Glen Arbor and the Dunes. We could have stayed for a week!

Wonderful property on beautiful Platte Lake

The house was perfect for our family, including our three young grandchildren, who loved the guest house, the upstairs loft beds and the shallow, clear water of Platte Lake. We've been coming to this part of Michigan for over 20 years, and this house was the first one to meet our needs completely. We loved the timeless Lakehouse vibe--and how comfortable and warm the entire property was. We will definitely plan on coming back!

Perfect getaway at Platte Lake Paradise

Our stay at Platte Lake Paradise was delightful. The home was welcoming, comfortable and well appointed. The great room was perfect for family time ... plenty of seating to accommodate our family of nine. Everyone enjoyed the screened in porch. It was the perfect spot to read, play games and have morning coffee. The lake views, sunrises and night sky viewing were spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Beulah and the surrounding area. We look forward to another stay at Platte Lake Paradise!

Cabin has that great combination of modernized and old school feel. Perfect launching point for all things in the area. New to the rental market I would suggest that the secondary cabin have air conditioning added to improve comfort and air flow. Also a mooring buoy for boats would make this perfect since the owners keep their boat at the dock. Loved this place !

Rest and Relaxation with a side of Peace and Quiet

Our family, 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and a tween, spent 5 glorious days here and cannot wait to return. The house came appointed with everything you'd need--from towels to all the cooking amenities needed. 2 SUPs and 2 kayaks made for easy enjoyment of the lake that is mere steps away. We brought our bikes and spent leisurely days enjoying the extensive bike paths near the house.

Extended Family Get Away

Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! It was even more beautiful in person. The indoor space was perfect for games and big family meals. We spent so much time playing games in the large yard, the kids loved the sandy beach and the kayaks/standup paddle boards kept us on the water almost everyday. The property was covered in blooming daisies and hydrangeas which made for beautiful family pictures to help remember our week together.

Cozy lake front home

Cozy and spacious lake front home with a beautiful view and separate cottage to accommodate more guests. We would rate this home higher than 3 star, but there were some hiccups we experienced during our stay. Since this location was a new listing, I am sure they will work out the kinks for future guests to enjoy.

Beautiful House and Location

Our family made some great memories staying on Platte Lake. The property had a couple kayaks and paddle boards to use on the lake. The location of the house isn’t far from Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and other fun attractions. The house is very comfortable and relaxing. I would have given five stars but the property has a rodent problem that the owners are currently addressing and there are a few recommendations that I’m sure they will address this being a new property rental for them.

Perfect Family Place

Having rented several places from Vacasa and other rental agents, this one was a true gem. Not only was it welcoming and homey, it was impeccably clean. The sleeping accommodations were very cozy and comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked, and having a washer and dryer was a huge help. The yard and waterfront were beautifully landscaped and maintained. The outdoor fire place made a great spot to gather in the evening and for the grandkids to toast marshmallows. Having kayaks to use was an added feature our family enjoyed. It was quiet with plenty of privacy and the guest cottage was a bonus for a family with young children. We truly felt like privileged guests in someone’s very beautiful home. The decor was so lovely and it added to the ambience from the moment we walked in. We would love to return again. Thank you for sharing this amazing vacation home!

Perfect lake house

This is a gorgeous home. Everything you could need. Very clean. Appreciated the shampoo/soap/toilet paper, etc. Could comfortably sleep 4 adults and 3 children in main house (3rd bedroom is a loft) and 4 more kids in guest house- guest house beds aren't great for adults or big teens (low to ground/small). Back yard is perfect for playing games- flat and not far to walk back and forth to house. We loved the fire pit (bring your own wood). Dock was nice. Lake was shallow and clear and amazing. Loved access to kayaks and paddle boards (life jackets inside guest house). This is the perfect house for a family of all ages- was easy for grandparents to get around. Flowers in the yard were beautiful. Screened in porch was our favorite spot for playing cards and meals. Grill was great- extra propane tank appreciated as the first one ran out. This was the nicest northern michigan house we have ever stayed in. We loved our stay here.

Beautiful house and property

This house is gorgeous and so is the yard and lake. We really enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks. However the guest house is NOT air conditioned- and gets very hot. We had to use this space with the amount of people we had and we have small children, very difficult to sleep in there especially when it is so hot. Guest services did not help us when we told them the trash was overflowing from the previous guest and all over the lawn- no one came to get it and we had no where to put our own trash, even after letting them know 2 days in a row. Despite those couple of problems we still enjoyed our stay very much and it was a very well kept cottage. An air conditioner for the guest house and a 2nd trash bin would be very helpful! I would also recommend bringing some camping chairs and beach chairs if you want something comfortable to sit on outside.

Beautiful and comfortable lake house

We loved this house and location. The beds were comfy and the house was clean and well stocked. It was close to sleeping bear dunes and other places to hike or swim. The house comes with kayaks and paddle board’s but no life vests so we were not comfortable with the kids using them. My biggest complaint is Vacasa (the management company). When we arrived at check in the front door handle was broken. I called, emailed and messaged Vacasa and could not get through to a person. Luckily we were able to get in the back door. Vacasa did not respond until the next day! We let them know that we could not use the front door and they said they would send someone out to fix it. 4 days later, the morning we are checking out, a maintenance man calls to come fix it. The house is great, but if you have any problems or need a quick response, Vacasa will not be helpful and whoever you do eventually speak to has most likely never been to the house or the area.
