Places of interest in the surrounding area.

20 minutes to the small town of Arnstadt on the Bach River.
45 minutes to the winter sports hub of Oberhof in the Thuringian Forest.
30 minutes to Weimar, the city of Goethe and Schiller, and the German National Theater.
50 minutes to Eisenach to visit Martin Luther at Wartburg Castle.

The Schieferquartier is located in the green, southern district of Möbisburg, behind the “Steiger” city forest.
This forest area, spanning over 1,000 hectares, is ideal for outdoor activities away from the city center.
The Steigerwald is designated as a landscape conservation area.

Erfurt’s city center, with its beautiful cathedral, numerous medieval buildings, and, of course, the famous Krämerbrücke, is only a 15-minute drive away. There’s also a bus route that takes you to the train station in about 20 minutes. So you’ll find yourself in a central yet idyllic setting surrounded by nature. The convenient access to the A4 (5 minutes) and the Erfurter Kreuz (10 minutes) makes getting here—and any commute to work—easy and hassle-free.
