Yelapa Village: Moringa

Vereda is a beautiful, nature-integrating design that creates welcoming and intimate spaces. A private oasis with it's own pool of natural fresh water near the river, beach and town for all who desire an unforgettable experience in tune with nature.

The space
After a walk down a private, gated pathway nestled in the jungle, you will see Palapa Moringa which was built from the stone unearthed on-site with love by the hands of the owner, son of a sculptor. Moringa is part of our Vereda eco lodge compound.
You have to climb some stone steps to acces Moringa.
Will you sleep on the first floor in the 4 post canopied king size bed where you can step onto your deck with a railing made of locally harvested wood and gaze across the garden below? Maybe you would prefer the loft above with your double bed that hangs from the ceiling. You'll realize why there is no smoking in the palapa as you appreciate the unique linens and antique furniture (not to mention how dangerous that would be with a thatched roof). Either way, as you stand on your stone base under a open head that feels like a soft jungle rain, you will ask how so much luxury could have been crafted from the land. Is an open toilet surrounds by flowers.


The other owner, Tatiana a recognized gourmet-chef and author, has designed her fantasy kitchen for you to use. After you eat, maybe you will want to take a dip in the fresh water pool and contemplate the hummingbirds flying joyfully or the sculptures that celebrate the local wildlife.

Durante el verano:
A todos nuestros posibles visitantes les notificamos que en temporada de lluvias surgen muchos más imprevistos que en otras fechas. El calor, los mosquitos( posibilidad de dengue) ,arañas y una variedad de vida silvestre. Estamos ubicados en la jungla por ende hay una cacofonia de sonidos de aves, gallos y gallinas así como perros del vecindario. Nuestro lugar se encuentra a unos 10 minutos de la playa caminando. En Vereda podrán disfrutar de mucha naturaleza por ende no son permitidas la fiestas y música fuerte. Contamos con una alberca de agua de pozo...una cocina abierta muy bien equipada decorada con esculturas y flores del jardín. Sabiendo los detalles de nuestro lugar todos son bien venidos. Gracias

The kitchen is shared between the owners and all the other guests.
The guests have special dish racks with all the essentials they can use. The rest of the cooking utensils if for the personal use of the chef.
Please use cutting boards, do not use the table or the marble for cutting.
Inside of the big fridge every house has its own rack to be used.
As you used the kitchen you clean for the convenience of everyone.
Vereda provides drinking well water, that is purified by a filtration system.
We provided linens and towels for the use in Vereda, please bring sarongs or towels for the beach and river.

Other things to note
Please be respectful with our home. We share our most beloved hand made bed covers and cushions.
Please don't use the white towels to clean your make up or shoes mud.
Use things with conscience.
We will check the room before departing to check everything is in order.
Is a 5 listings compound plus our home, so we expect respect for us and the other guests.
We don't accept children under 6 years old.


During low season May-Oct Yelapa gets hot and the jungle loud. Be aware you are in an open enviroment.
If you can’t handle bugs or humed heat we suggest you visit us during Nov- April.
