The Space:

Welcome to Fenwick Island! Our family has been here since the 50s and we love the somewhat-vintage, cottage-feel of our home. Our parents remember when some of the homes in Fenwick used to be chicken coops and when there were very few stores and shops around. Fenwick Island has come a long way since then! It is the gem of the Delaware seashore where your primary form of transportation can be walking or biking! At this beach house you can choose from multiple decks to sip your morning coffee, watch the sunrise, practice some yoga, people watch, or read a book with the sound of the ocean in the distance. Sliding glass doors lead from the decks into the main living area. The open floor plans lead to a fully equipped kitchen well-appointed with full-size appliances and ample counter space, so that preparing meals can be enjoyed by all. The dining area features ample seating, and more bar seats are at the kitchen counter. A rustic screened breezeway, just off the dining area, features a picnic table, offering a sunny breakfast nook or overflow seating for group meals. This breezeway acts as a mudroom and a great place to hang towels and leave sandy flip-flops and beach bags. The primary bedroom is connected through a side room off the kitchen then through double doors and features an attached bathroom. A second door accesses the breezeway. Across the breezeway are two more bedrooms (each bedroom sleeps three) which share a bathroom. When it's time to hit the beach, just cross the street, and you're there! Boogie boards and beach gear can be found in the garage. When returning from the beach, enjoy the outdoor shower before heading upstairs to enjoy the sunset! THINGS TO KNOW Delaware regulations require all guests sign a lease agreement within 10 days of booking. A lease agreement will be sent within 24 hours of booking, and an electronic signature is required before final check-in information is made available. Roomy, comfortable property, in great location, just steps from the beach. Our family of 10 were very comfortable & we all had a wonderful week.

Great beach house for friends and family!

We loved how close this house was to the beach. It was lovely to be able to walk right up early in the morning and loved how we could go back home with ease if we forgot anything. We went on this trip as high school friends just coming together and really enjoyed our experience. Everything is relatively close and it was in a beautiful location. We can't wait to be back!

Fenwick beach holiday

6 adults, 2 dogs, 4 children under 8; extreme heat this week, heat indices 105. Beach (and cottage AC) was only reprieve from terrible heat. Cottage nice and cool. Great floorplan to isolate screaming babies at night. We plan to return.

Close to the beach

Nice property with plenty of parking, close to the beach. Well equipped kitchen and 3 lovely decks! Old furniture, (to be expected in a rental) and pet hair on the floors are the only complaints.

The house is in a very good spot near the beach. It could do with a little TLC. Cupboards were not very clean and the coffee table was sticky and fairly worn. I would not recommend this home without some deep cleaning, which was pointed out in another review.

Great location

Great location across from beach access. Be sure to note the description for the bedroom set up where 2 of the bedrooms are across the screen porch breezeway. Kitchen well appointed. Linens work well; plenty of bath towels. Only 1 kitchen dish towel was provided so might bring extra. Overall, worked out great for our family.

Family beach trip

This sound was A great find for a family. With 6 children and 6 adults this house give us plenty of space to spread out. The location is fantastic. The house was very clean. With great outdoor space. The thing I loved most about the house is my sleeping. Quarters are all removed from the main living space. If someone was sleeping they weren't disturbed by television cooking gameplaying etc.

Great location at the beach!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay in Fenwick at this dog friendly beach home. We were able to spread out in the four bedrooms and three decks but also enjoyed meals together on the deck and game night at the dining table. The kitchen was well stocked as was the garage. Lots of boogie boards and deck furniture. The best parts are the immediate access to the beach and the walkable/bikeable neighborhood. The vacation rental group is easy to work with and keyless entry was a breeze. Great location with many restaurants, coffee, mini golf, local shops nearby. Loved it!

Steps from the beach!

We booked this trip at the last minute for two families each with two children under four. We were delighted by the proximity to the beach, availability of beach chairs and toys, and multiple outdoor spaces. The set up of this house is unique but worked well in our case - each family claimed 2 bedrooms on either side of the breezeway. I was glad we brought our baby monitors with us so we could hear the kids when we were in common areas across the breezeway. The house is decidedly not modern but you can tell that from the photos. None of us had been to Fenwick Island before - we loved the non-crowded beaches and enjoyed evening strolls on Bunting Ave.

Perfect getaway at the beach

This property is exactly what we needed for a quick multi-family getaway at the beach. The house had all the amenities you could need with lots of comfortable beds, a well stocked kitchen and lots of toys for a day at the beach. The only thing that was confusing was the parking situation and requirement to buy a pass. Unfortunately the VRBO chat function wasn’t working during our stay which delayed our communication with the owners. But it only resulted in a couple unnecessary parking passes until we got it cleared up. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. Hope to come back one day!

Interesting older house surrounded by new mansions

At 1st I thought what a weird setup, the 2 smaller bedrooms are in a different building than the master, kitchen, and living room. You had to walk out of the main room across an enclosed deck to get to them. After a day I changed my mind and liked the setup. You are totally away from the living room and noise if you want to sleep in peace. The master is huge. It was very clean and a perfect if you want to have the kids separated from you. Right there for beach access. Three decks, the dunes are so high you can't quite see the water.
