The Space:

Just 50 feet from the aptly named Rest Lake, this remote home is an excellent retreat for families and groups looking to get away from it all. Lake views come easy in this lovely lakefront home. Two different living room spaces (each with a wood-burning fireplace and one with a wet bar!) means there's extra room to relax. Central air conditioning will help you cool off after a long day of lake fun. Board games are provided and a poker table is all set up for fun late nights. The incredibly spacious kitchen has plenty of space to prepare your favorite meals, and there's room for four guests to enjoy breakfast at the bar. If you'd rather cook on the private gas grill, you'll be delighted at the view from the deck. The laundry room provides plenty of space and a laundry sink (in addition to the private washer/dryer) to help take care of everyone's swimsuits. The outdoor play structure will provide hours of fun, and there's always room for one more person around the firepit. The space was great for gathering with friends. There was some broken or wobbly furniture. The back doors do not lock at all. No mattress pad on the beds so the bedsheet was directly on top of plastic. The entry keypad was loose and somewhat difficult to use because of the long code. Fix these minor issues and this would be a 5 star location in the beautiful northern woods.

The location and lake was nice. The house was spacious and the main bedroom was roomy and had a nice view. This home needs updating, maintenence and the internet/WIFI needs figuring out. The house was nice and can accommodate a lot of people. Overall it was a nice stay just had some issues and annoyances that could be easily addressed.

Quiet Getaway with great walking paths

Loved this property. Beautiful location. There are great walking or biking paths all around the lake. Manny's Parkside restaurant just opened not far from this house. Amazing food and service.

Great house, amazing lake

The house was great, really awesome. The lake, and the whole chain of lakes and that part of WI, is just paradise. Plus, we got lucky with great weather.

Perfect up-north biking retreat

Fantastic location!! So much to do and so close to the bike trails. The kids, parents, grandparents and dogs all enjoyed the home. Mountain biking, bike path riding, hiking, fishing......we should have stayed longer. Great space to entertain a large group.

Winter Wonderland

This a very comfortable and spacious house filled with all of the comforts of home. In a great location as it’s accessible to trails and many fun destinations in town (restaurants, gas, grocery, etc). Love the lake side views and accommodations offered.

Winter wonderland

Second year we have stayed in this house for a weekend of cross country skiing and snow shoeing. We were able to snow shoe out on the lake and fly kites. Returned to the house for a great dinner prepared in the kitchen and settled in by the beautiful fireplace.

Amazing lake front property and a spacious, comfortable home. Only complaint is that the home needs some tlc: deck has rotten boards and front door's lock was broken.

Lovely Home on Quiet Bay

This home was ideal for us. The location was great…close to biking, hiking and canoeing! The home was very clean, comfy beds and plenty of space to spread out. The outdoors were pretty great too…nice dock to relax watching the sun set and a large fire pit for an evening fire. Communication with the host was very fast and thorough. Thank you. We will be back!

Sky Blue Home on Rest Lake, Manitowish Waters, WI

Beautiful home located on Rest Lake in Manitowish Waters, WI. Perfect location on the Manitowish chain of lakes. The home is large enough and furnished well to accommodate a large family vacation. Homes is adjacent to the 28 mile Manitowish Water bike trail that can take you to Boulder Junction in one direction and to Mercer in the other direction. Home is pet friendly and grounds are well kept and open to let your pet run. Fishing activity on the lake was excellent, having caught both Large and Smallmouth bass , Nothern Pike and Musky.

Spacious house. Great area. No internet.

Loved the kitchen and living area and gorgeous lake and the views from both floors. The dock had a huge hole, and we never were able to log on to the internet. We won’t be back, though it was all fine. I also liked the amazing walking trails.

Since your stay, the local manager has moved the router to a more suitable location which should help with the Wi-Fi signal. The dock is being fixed. We hope you choose to stay with us again!
