Charming and cozy, this coastal cottage offers classic Bar Harbor quaintness while being close to everything the area has to offer. You will be just far enough from Main Street to avoid the tourists, so enjoy some peace and quiet on the old-fashioned 'Maine' front porch each morning with a cup of coffee. The living room is just the place to kick back with loved ones on the sofa or armchair and a flatscreen TV awaits for entertainment. Not to mention, both bedrooms are located upstairs, so guests can choose whether to stay downstairs and mingle or head upstairs to hit the hay.

Located less than a half-mile from Main Street, this adorable cottage will be the perfect jumping-off point for checking out the various restaurants, shops, and attractions that make this coastal town so special. Take an afternoon to walk along the Bar Harbor Shore Path or take advantage of the many hiking trails that are scattered nearby to really soak up the scenery. Venture out a bit further, and you will find yourself at the famous Acadia National Park. You're just a short two-min walk from Glen Mary Park, which features a children's wading pool.

This house was clean, comfortable, quiet neighborhood with a large yard and had everything that we needed. It’s about 1/2 hour from Acadia National Park, where we spent most of our time.

Awesome stay!

The place was clean and easy to get to. We found it very easy to get to Acadia and Bar Harbor from here and anything we needed was within a 10 minute drive. Overall a very pleasant experience!

A fantastic getaway

Wonderful time!

We had a great experience here! The house is beautiful and the beds were comfy! The outside landscaping needs some loving, which dropped a star for the rating. Close to Acadia & Bar Harbor.

The house is in the quiet country. You have the pleasure of quiet, restful, peaceful down time, yet restaurants & grocers are only 15 minutes away. It provides a lovely yard for children to play in & a nice place for enjoying a fire and/or night skies.

Great location!

We loved the house and location. The property was incredibly clean and everything was ready for occupancy when we arrived. The fire pit area was peaceful and the kitchen was stocked with necessary tools. Be prepared to purchase/provide basic spices & seasonings for cooking, if you love to cook like we do. It’s not a problem, but just good to know. The location was perfect for exploring Acadia NP, Bar Harbor and Bangor. And if you’re interested in a more extensive road trip (we chased the sun on a rainy day), the proximity to New Brunswick is also convenient. Multiple board games and cards are available to entertain during a stormy night in. There isn’t a lot of space for walking/running right out the door, but there is a short trail just up the road and Lamoine Beach is a short drive away too. I highly recommend this place!

Wonderful house but poor property management

My wife, 2 sons and I stayed here. Loved the house. It was perfect for us. However, we had an issue when we arrived that made our trip get off to a rough start. There was no hot water. I contacted the property manager and there were no crews available to help. The vacasa representative instructed me to go in the basement and check on things. They said they would get a crew there hopefully the next day. After a couple hours I figured out the issue on my own. I requested a partial refund or credit for the inconvenience and was given an apology. I felt that was not reasonable and will avoid booking homes managed by vacasa in the future.
