The Cité de la mer in Cherbourg is something for the whole family, and the Vauban Towers and Ile de Tatihou can be found 27 km away, where you can cross the island on foot. Further south you can reach Mont-Saint-Michel and the sandy beaches of Utah Beach, Quinéville and to the west the wild dune beaches of Barneville or Port-Bail. You can visit the famous Bayeux Tapestry in less than 45 minutes drive via Omaha Beach and Point du Hoc.
