Welcome to the Harriss-James Carriage house. Unit A is a newly renovated one-bedroom, one-bath apartment in historic downtown Wilmington. Full of charm and thoughtful touches, the space invites you to settle in.

Step outside and you’re a short stroll from the Riverwalk, local shops, and restaurants. With one off-street parking space included, it’s an easy and inviting place to come home to—ideal for a relaxed stay with a bit of personality in the heart of it all.

The historic carriage house sits tucked off of Orange st, and shares a backyard with the main home.

0.3 miles to the Riverwalk restaurants and businesses in Historic Downtown Wilmington.

20 minutes to Wrightsville beach, 26 minutes to Carolina beach, 37 minutes to Fort Fisher historic area!

The main home and carriage house have been under restoration processes for the past year. We invite you to be part of the history and future of the Harriss James Carriage house. While the restoration process on the main and carriage home are ongoing, the efforts will not impact a peaceful stay!

Quiet hours are 10pm to 6am. Please do not play loud music outside during this time and turn off all exterior lights.
Please only flush toilet paper. Our house is historic and so are the pipes. The plumbing will clog if anything other than TP is flushed.
Our ceilings are a bit low, one of the quirks of a historic home. If you are over 6'3 you may have to duck going through some doorways.

Beautifuly renovated space, everything you could need included, and there's actually hot water for the shower! LOL Great little space, would definately stay again.

Our 3-night stay in this charming carriage house was perfect and exceeded expectations.Very thoughtful and comfortable renovations and decoration with all the essentials, easy access and walkable, and the host was proactive and responsive with communication.I would absolutely stay here again. We love to travel, find good food, good waves, and love spending time with great company over a cup of coffee. Hosting gives me the chance to share a space that feels like a home away from home.

My goal is to make your stay simple, comfortable, and enjoyable, with everything you need to feel settled while you’re here in Wilmington.

The Harriss James home is a historic home that my fiancé and I have been restoring for the past year. We love the quirky character and prime location!
