The area has a very rural character, so you’ll find coffee and pineapple plantations here. Fruit trees are everywhere—from Mango to papaya and banana, all the way to avocado. The people here live a very simple life at a slower pace compared to the Western lifestyle; they greet one another and take the time to listen to each other. This is part of the rural Dominican culture and laid-back atmosphere.
Playa Rincón is 14 minutes away, and Playa Frontón is 17 minutes from the house. The city center of Samaná and the Samaná Whale Museum are just 20 km away. Samaná El Catey International Airport is a 50-minute drive away.
