The apartment and its terrace has fantastic views of the fjord, but since it is located in the basement, it is badly ventilated and has a particular smell. The fireplace is definitely a plus (there is also enough firewood provided by the host), but unfortunately you can’t open a window in the living room to make sure that there is enough oxygen (so you have to open the front door).The bathroom has been renovated quite recently, so it is modern and clean. The rest of the house could use some refurbishing, and the bedrooms are not comfortable (too many bunkbeds in one, one long pair of single beds in another and barely any room to move around in the master bedroom).Also, there is no wifi in the house, and even though the description mentions a dvd player, there was only one DVD (we actually bought two second-hand dvd’s and left them behind, so there are a few more now).The pillows provided were really not OK. All of them too old and lumpy, which means that your head will either lay directly on the matras or on a lump which strains your neck.The surroundings are truly stunning, and there are many great hiking trails, but absolutely nothing else to do except for fishing or renting a boat. The closest not very exciting town is 80 km away.
